The next thing I'm buying is Pokémon Platinum. I know nothing about Sinnoh, except for the Pokémon, there's a mountain there I think, and the first and second gyms are Rock and Grass respectively. So it should be a fun experience.

Let's hope the Sun/Moon news throughput the months does not spoil us unlike ORAS's pre-release coverage.

Speaking of the fiery rock that will decimate us in five billion years or so and the gray sphere, less than two hours!

But on a serious note, I wonder what it'll evolve into!

And that Lion-like Pokémon! Forget Moon, Sun is where it's at!

At least this fire lion will probably be super strong compared to Pyroar who has terrible abilities and a somewhat mediocre movepool.

I'm literally dazed by the adorableness of the starter trio. Most of the time the fire starter is my first pick, but looks like grass wins this round for me, because birbs. :))
Popplio is super cute as well, I really wonder what it's going to evolve into. A walrus would be cool, but that'd be kinda like a second Spheal.

Oh yeah, sure, but not as amazing as the moon bird something thing. It can frickin'... I don't even know what it's doing, but it's awesome.

I think I'm picking moon, and is there any starter type combo better than grass/flying?

Definitely hard to beat, really helpful typing to start out with.

Still waiting for that Fire/Poison Pokemon though

In terms of the first stage I like the bird more. I'l have to wait until I see the evolutions. To make a prediction, I have a feeling I'll end up liking the sea lion or the fire cat more. My money is on the fire cat

I like both mascots (and will end up getting both anyway) but I'm choosing Moon first because a skeletal-moon bat is awesome imo.

I'm surprised at how popular the grass-type starter has been compared to the popularity of the fire-type starter. My favourite is Litten but I'm pretty sure things could change when we see their full evolutionary lines.
