I got so bored with learning the stuff im just ready to play and figure it out for myself. Like ya i wanna know the new pokes and the characters but thats really it. Honestly Gamefreak and Nintendo kinda made me less interested when they made me wait 2 years without releasing a thing.

It's so weird to think that it's been two years between Sun/Moon and OR/AS. It's a small wonder, then, why the Pokemon fandom has really slowed down. There wasn't much to discuss, and two years is a long span of time in Internet terms. And with how slow the information is revealed for Sun/Moon, people get bored easily because how often can you discuss early-route birbs and rocky dogs?
Not to say that early-route birb Pikipek and rocky dog Iwanko aren't awesome, but we know so little about them that we can really only talk about their designs and abilities. Everything else is speculation, and some people don't like speculating. They want actual information.
Pikipek is also one of the best Pokemon names to say.

For the most part on information Im usually the one that gets info on whatever and gives it to people so I wanna tell friends everything ive heard but they either 1 know already/more than me, 2 dont like/play pokemon, or 3 dont want spoilers(i always ask first of course).

Nintendo's close-mouthed policy really works against them when it comes to building up anticipation and excitement for their titles...most need something to go on. I don't think they need to compete with others and I never have, but I do think they could learn a thing or two about marketing and information release from the rest of the industry...

I'm just waiting for them to say or do something horribly wrong that will spark mass panic or disgust. Give it paid DLC, or microtransactions, or less than 100 new Pokemon. Something that will cause things to go horribly wrong.

Honestly I still dont see why EU games come out later than further western releases which come at the same time or a little later than Japanese releases. Maybe Im missing something here but the only reason I see theyd do that is that the EU would have more languages needed in it but they offer you choice of language at the beginning of the game, Im just confused.
Honestly we're coming up on nearly 800 Pokemon I am completely cool with less than 100 Pokemon from now on in new games there is no reason to be that mad about it......

I've always been of the view that quality > quantity, so as long as the Pokemon introduced have fun, varied designs I'm totally fine with a smaller number again.

Eah same here on that. Im still a bit worried about catching them all when theres over a thousand of them, Idk why. Its not like I try to fill my dex like that, Im really just worried for some reason. What if they end after 1000 oh gosh thats not good but also not likely but...

Pokemon is one of the biggest franchises Nintendo has; they've dominated the handheld market for years because of it. They're definitely not going to stop at some arbitrary number just because it'd look neat. They're not even close to milking the cow dry yet.

The delay is just a punishment for broken street dates. Translations can be done during the development process, computer software is the best example of that, e.g. Windows 10 is translated to numerous languages but it was still released simultaneously worldwide.

I don't believe that for a minute. From a business standpoint that makes absolutely no sense. That's five days of lost sales, if nothing else. It's also spiteful and petty, and there is no way in any reality any company would be that childish. Nintendo are a business, first and foremost: money is all they care about. This delay only hurts them, so it's not something they would do deliberately.

Well i dont know what they do it for but they couldve made an international release date and just sold to everyone at once, I dont know all the complications so Im not sure if there really is a buissiness standpoint for why.

I agree, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they pull another "tradition breaker" again. If I recall correctly, Ash has always gotten every single Grass-type starter until Kalos, where he hasn't caught any sort of Grass-type at all. If Ash gets a Rowlet, there's a slight chance that he might not get the new birdy Pokémon... well, okay. I say this, but he literally has three Flying-types on his Kalos team, ahahahaha. xD
