Weapons introduced

I've moved this to Pokémon Gaming Central - Feedback & Support is for questions pertaining to the community itself.

There are Pokemon that use objects as weapons and a weapon was used in XY but if you are talking about traditional weapons used in standard RPGs then I don't think it would work in the main game series nor improve the series. I could see it working as a spin-off game however.

Thanks for your input. I was just curious if anyone else had an opinion on this subject. My personal opinion is I would like it to be an option for players and i do believe it would be fun to try it out.

Well to be fair everyone would have a chance to shoot someone and possibly level up faster

who needs conventional weapons when you can command creatures capable of leveling mountains, when the gods themselves will obey your every order just cuz you stuck them in a ball?

If Pokeballs were bullets and you could shoot a Pokemon to catch it and do damage at the same time that would be good

Maybe? It could be cool.

I've always liked the idea of Pokémon having an equipable item, as well as the held item.
Equipable stuff being things like, Hard Armor, or Speed Boots. Giving the Pokémon a small boost in certain stats.
Weapons could fall under that, but nothing extreme like guns.
Maybe Punch Glove to up attack, or Dual Gloves, to extend the amount of hits multi-hit moves do.

Lol, imagine being chase by bewear with a giant mace or something, ready to pulverize your brains. Unique concept but for me it's a no.
Marketing wise it wouldn't work either with the Pokémon franchise being kid-friendly and such.
