1st Gen Weird Evolutions

Did you know if you switch out a Growlithe from a Pikachu in the generation I games, it'll cause Pikachu to evolve into Raichu? This is due to Growlithe and the Thunderstone have the same index number. You can do it with other stone Pokémon, too, I believe.

from a programming perspective that's so funny to me. like they only checked the internal id of the thing and forgot to check that it was actually an item and not a pokemon.. polymorphism gone wrong
