Considering that he lives there though, he might have already done what is there to be done in Seattle, or can't do the things there are to do in Seattle. I can see where he might be coming from, even though I live in a place in which there is really nothing to do to begin with. However, because I've lived so close to Busch Gardens, I went there so many times that it had eventually gotten boring (though there is apparently a new ride there now that I have yet to ride, so the next time I get a chance to go there I'll do so).
Different experiences lead to different opinions on where one lives, especially if they have lived there a long time/all their life. Of course, one might not think the same as another even if they have lived in the same place for a while, but that comes down to who you are.
