What are some features that you don't want to see again?

I hope that stuff like the Xtransceiver do not make a comeback. Or anything that is heavily reliant on Wifi to function. Yes, thank goodness that there is still local wireless communication available on the older Pokémon games, but once the wifi got nuked for B/W, that pretty much was the death nail for those games. No more Dreamworld. Boo-hoo.

Pokemon musicals can go the hell away and never come back. The entire C-gear was useless to me so that can go. Friend safaris cause I don't have pokemon pals and I don't have wifi. HM moves should become forgetable and get rid of the move deleter. Finally if you gonna put an exp all in the game, call it that and give me a real exp share to level the pokemon I decided to add in my team late in the game.

^ Well I don't think that's something we will be getting back anytime soon, at least not in the main series. But there are likely 3rd gen hacks that go that route. And I do miss having Gengar being able to use Fire Punch and Ice Punch, although Fighting-types and such do appreciate that coverage now.

Musicals in place of something more interactive like contests, an exact replica of the Battle Maison instead of a new facility, HMs, I could probably list a lot of things. Non-mechanic wise, I don't want a pack of stereotypical rivals. I want someone who isn't passive and accepting that I'm a better Trainer than them, I want a rival like Blue that will always challenge me.

I actually really liked PokeStar movies. They were pretty fun, even if some were a bit haxy.

I didn't really like Pokemon-Amie. I feel like it's just feature filler. While I can see why people would appreciate Pokemon-Amie existing, I found it pointless. It's time-consuming and when you have maximum hearts on a Pokemon, the rest of the game becomes way too easy. I mean, seriously, you get critical hits basically all the time and can shake off status. It removes all challenge from the game.

Pokémon Contests can burn in the fires of hell for all I care. I can never find anything pleasant about them, & most of the time, it leads to frustration.

I'd also like to see HMs done away with as well, as I'm not particularly fond of having to have a slot taken with something that I need just to get through the place. But alas, I have a feeling that they're here to stay...

HMs or more accurately having HMs take up a battle moveslot.

I'd rather Pokémon had a 5th move slot for a field exclusive move. (You'd still be able to teach a Pokémon Fly for battle, but this way you could instead assign it to the 5th field slot. Only moves with field effects could be placed in this 5th slot)

Pokémon Musicals. Ugh. What was the point of them? Contests, Pokeathlon and PokeStudio were enjoyable to some degree but the Musicals had no real substance. They were like Pokémon Contests without any real competing.

Same as several others mentioned, HMs being a waste of a move slot.

I remember how annoying it was when I was playing the Sinnoh games and my team ended up with pitiful movesets just because of all those stupid HMs. At least Unova and Kalos did dampen down the obstacles that needed them, but please Game Freak do something like alter them as an optional field move that doesn't waste move slots or whatever.

I admit I am not a fan of the "Pokemon a me" (however it is spelled), I understand it's purpose to make you feel closer to your pokemon and for them to feel more like your own. But from me I am more focused on training the pokemon then showing them some love. But I wish that the happiness ratio should stick to just keeping the pokemon from fainting and in front of the part ect ect... but that is just me. I feel it was a nice add in, with some decent benefits but in the end it just makes me feel bad
