Flag in the Ground (Symphonic Version) - Sonata Arctica

I absolutely LOATHED The Days of Grays album...but the symphonic versions they did of the songs on the bonus CD were, one and all, incredible. I'd consider the orchestral CD their sixth album, in fact.

Much as I love Tarja...Jørn's version of this song is SO MUCH BETTER. There's something about his vocals that make this song so much more...epic? Emotional? I dunno, it just sounds better with male vocals to me.

God, I was so upset by Sabine Dünser's death; she had the most beautiful singing voice I'd ever heard, and this group was never really the same after she died...
 
Miss Lucy Had Some Leeches - Emilie Autumn

Well, my school years would have been a lot more interesting if they had been singing THIS in the playground. xD
 
King Crimson - Moonchild / The Dream / The Illusion
In the Court of the Crimson King is a fantastic album. Definitely recommend to anyone that enjoys early Genesis (not its new wave stuff, the prog rock stuff), Tool or Pink Floyd.
 
Princes of the Universe - Queen

I will always associate this song with the Highlander TV series...
