Many anime exist to screw our minds. What are some anime that screwed your mind? (Obvious spoilers will be in here.)

    ---

    Only one.

    HUMANITY HAS DECLINED!

Let me see. This anime double crossed, no triple crossed... no... overwhelmed me with the biggest mind screw I have ever freaking suffered in my entire life. It is the only anime that was successful in actually taking me for a trip through questioning the industry and back again. Why? Well...let me just...put this in a spoiler...

    Spoiler:

Overall, the entire time I watched this show, I kept on saying, "WHAT THE HELL?!" I pretty much understood nothing, and could only say "this is so weird..." over and over and over again.

Neon Genesis Evangellion tried to screw my mind, but, to be honest, all it did was make me scream to make it stop. Serial Experiments Lain, too.

Humanity has Declined is great. I really loved it. The bread, haha, just remembering it makes me laugh.

Anyway, it happened several times with me. But if we go for the 'bad" watch, I think it was when I watched Mars of Destruction.

Basically the worst possible thing you can think of. There was a moment where I couldn't even understand why the tragic music was playing in random moments and dramatic moments had no OST at all lol. Plus animation quality...

Totally agree with Humanity Has Declined lol.

I watched it with some little kids a few years ago and they cried when they saw that one bread die :v

And the green girl cutting her hair and growing it back with some spraything

And everything dancing around her bedroom

I don't remember that much, but it was pretty weird, alright.

Lies. I'm sure you're aware that Beethoven wrote a piece for that amazing show. Simply having Beethoven makes me want to give it 11/10.

Neon Genesis Evangelion messed me up too but once I digested and understood everything (thanks to EvaGeeks) I was glad that I had watched it. The End of Evangelion felt like one giant mindfuck to me. I've never been so viscerally affected by a work of fiction before, I was in a funk for days after watching it for the first time.

Berserk is the most twisted work of fiction that I've ever seen but once you become desensitized to the gore it becomes much easier to read. There are still moments that will warp you but a lot of those moments aren't shown in any of the anime adaptations. Most of it is there to serve the story and atmosphere in some way so it's not just mindless sex and violence.

A quick question! Is Humanity has Decliend a good anime? Or is it just a mindpuck anime?

It's a nice show overall, not all arcs are omgwow, but the author has great ideas and that's clearly reflected in the anime adaptation.
