I think Twilight is just a stupid book series that sucks in fangirls and has hundreds of people kissing thier feet.

Like Gymnotide naked.

Im only on the second book so i havent gotten to far but i still think its a great book

oh i guess i might have put it in the wrong place im not sure i thought this would be the bast part for this but im not sure about that to be honest

Book-related polls belong in Other Entertainment, for future reference.

I have Twilight on my desk, but I haven't gotten around to it. :D;; So I can't give you my full opinions yet. But, from what I've heard... I don't know if I'd fully enjoy it.

Speaking of Twilight, I should add real sparkles to my user title. XD *shot*

I started reading Twilight the other day, and while I find that the book isn't the greatest, it's still a good read. The story, so far, is a simple one that I don't have to concentrate on, so it feels as if Meyer knew her audience well. Can't really comment on the rest of it, since I haven't read the book in a while.

I enjoy the books, and am looking forward to reading the next three, and whatever other ones Meyer has to write.

Love 'em ^^

Of course, Twilight is the best of the lot. The others you just have to read for the full experience.

Jacob FTW

I personally think all vampire novels are trash. The fact that I've been able to deduce this without ever having read one should be all the more evidence for this, I say. :rambo:

I like Twighlight, but Breaking Dawn wasn't very good. If your reading the series, read the first, thrid, and first one-hundred pages of the last and then JUST STOP. I like the series, but they're not the best thing I've ever read.

So Dracula is trash? Modern-day vampire books might not be "the best books ever" (though George R.R. Martin keeps cropping up as "must read now for goodness!" by a variety of people, and he wrote a vampire novel), but Dracula is the daddy of all vampire books. I haven't read it yet, but it's a classic.

I had to put Twilight aside for a bit to read a library book that's due soon. So my opinion of Meyer's work remains the same from my last post. Though Meyer gets bonus points for having as her favorite author my favorite author.

I agree! At the moment, I'm nearing the end of Eclipse and plan to start on Breaking Dawn while I'm on vacation in a few weeks. The books are great for casual reading because, like you said, the storyline is so easy to follow. I never have trouble picking up right where I left off any time I've been too distracted to read over a period of several days.

On the negative side of things, I do have a few issues with Bella's personality, and how cheesy some of the conversations between her and Edward can get. I'll admit that they are my two favorite characters, though. XD; I also like Alice and the rest of the Cullens. Jacob is interesting enough, but he was the reason why New Moon dragged for me, so I still resent him a little for that.

Aaand whoa, I better stop myself before I get too carried away with this post.

I fail to see just WHAT is so appealing about them. But then again, I'm not one for cheesy romance.

I love it! I just finished reading Eclipse. Im waiting to buy Breaking Dawn at my school's book fair in a few weeks!

I like them, I won't say they're the greatest books I've ever read, but they're pretty good if you need something to read, which will keep your attention.

Well, I guess i'm just another one of those fangirls.
But I love this series, but after I read one of the reviews it has put me off a bit.
(not on here)
But also, the last book ruins the series.
But if you are a crazy chick like me i reccomend you TRY & read it
:]

I've read about a third or half of the first book and I'm not too impressed. I refuse to judge a book without reading it but... my early judgment is precisely what I expected it to be.

I can't really get past Bella's standing as a Mary Sue. @_@; Like, I can understand moving to a new place and being the most interesting person to everyone simply because... you're new. But having everyone fall in love with her when her description is "plain" and it's mentioned over and over that she was nowhere near popular back where she used to live? x_o I dunno. I find myself skimming a lot as well.

I think the books are highly overrated but I will trudge through the rest of the first one. Chances are I'll skip the middle book(s?) and go straight to the last one because I hear it's so awful it's hilarious.

I've never heard of it, but they're supposed to be good.

Did any else hear that an illegal draft of the new book, "Midnight Sun", was leaked on the internet?
