My signature is just what appears under my post. I make banners for it from time to time, but besides that, it's nothing to me.
NOTHING D:<
...No I totally lied right there. My sig means a lot to me cause It's hard to express yourself on the forums when you have to constantly be on topic, you have to know how to show you for you in words. Your signature lets you show people what you're all about if you use it properly [/lamelamelame]
I have a sig because I like having something nice to look at and somewhere to place links of interest. Usually I keep my signatures small, but this time, I went for ungodly large. Maybe I should change that... XD
It's also an excuse to try out Photoshop and (hopefully) get better, except for this theme, which was started back when my computer was still broken, so I didn't have it. Audy had to fix the banner up for me. D:
I actually put some thought into crafting a banner and picking text-colors for my signature, After all it's how I express what I'm interested in and how I'm feeling.
Right now my signature is centered around one of those 'What pokemon are you' banners. It means 'I am who I am and that's who I'm gonna be' to quote an old country song I grew up listening to. xD
But I also put my PC family there, anyone listed in my PC family is a very dear friend to me and I'm not shy about expressing that.
I also cram random links to things in my signature, Mainly my sites and such.
Mine usually shows off what I'm into at the time and my latest work after playing around in Photoshop again; which I keep for at least a week. I like having it, since it somewhat decorates my posts.
Around January, I had a pink and blue signature I thought the world of, then I replaced that for the Oni Raichu graphic signature which was deleted in the space of three days because this forum wasn't epic enough for it. A few weeks ago my current signature came into being and I don't think I'll ever change it.
So, yes, my signature means a lot to me. Normally for links and just to say something or show off art that I didn't make.
In my case, I dont pay too much attention to my sig. I barely use it to do some advertising of what I do, and to express a bit about my status from time to time. That's it, it just shows how boring I am, meh.
I just use my sig to advertise my Trade Thread, my Shiny Battle Stadium and the clan which I belong to. In addition I use it to give the people I trade/battle with some important info like my time zone and my FC... I also like it because it looks pretty...
It's usually favorite characters, and song quotes to match. Sometimes I make them, sometimes I get other people to make them... Depends on how I'm feeling... and what I want.
I use my signature to show off my banners, basically >.> And my signature makes my posts prettier to look at, nyah~ The banners I put in my signature sometimes shows stuff I'm obsessed about, unless I run out of stock/render images to use. Then I just use it to show off. Sometimes, I put in some song lyrics (such as now), or some random bit of text that somehow relates to the banner I'm using.
My sig is my little piece of PC that I can screw up as much as I like and nobody can tell me other wise unless it is too big.
I guess my sig to me is something that I can use however I want to the people of PC alittle bit of myself. May it be whatever I like or anything. I can put almost whatever I want and however I want. I may not have Photoshop or anything but really that is ok since I still able to express myself and junk.
Also I like putting little one font size messages in the bottom of my sig.
My signiture means to me.... well I think it means what my mood is. Like if I am in a romantic yaoi mood, I would havae TamaKyo or LuluZaku in my sig. If I'm in a happy, most likey a happy anime character like Mokona! Right now I am in a scary emo mood, that's why I have Yuuko in my siggeh. >:
My signature is a lot of times under construction. I used to make my sig an advertising bulletin board, but now, I just use it for "under construction" things (under construction in my sig actually means I'm busy, I'm not really working on it). When it's not under construction, I personalize it for people to know more of me.
