I was just thinking, as the past two generations of regions (excluding Johto and Kanto) had ghost mysteries, Sinnoh had the ghost girl and butler who haunted the Old Chateau, Unova had the ghost girl on the bridge and her story was expanded in Black and White 2, with the Strange House and most recently Kalos and that spooky girl in Lumiose City. Should Hoenn have some sort of ghost storyline?

Well you did just pointed out indirectly that the previous remakes haven't had ghost stories added in(btw Kalos has one, as did Kanto in both the original and the remakes (Marowak)), so chances are that Hoenn won't get one either.

The mysterious old ghostly woman at Mt. Pyre who hands out free Lava Cookies.

But yeah that's something I actually didn't realize until now, perhaps this could be carried on over into these games too.

Mt. Chimney's old woman is calling. She wants her Lava Cookies back.

I don't think there'll be ghost stories in ORAS, as the original RSE didn't have one. It's like HGSS, there's no ghost story as the original GSC didn't have one either.

As for Kanto, even without any haunted house in Kanto, Lavender Town is already creepy by itself.

Unless they made one up at Mt. Pyre, probably not. Since there wasn't any during the original games.

R/B/Y had Lavender Town. In, G/S/C, if I remember correctly the guy who teaches your Pokemon Curse tells you a scary story first. D/P/P had the Chateau and B/W and X/Y had their infamous ghost girls. While R/S/E had plenty of scary elements, like Mt. Pyre, the Regi chambers and the mystery of how the Abandoned Ship sunk, I don't recall any actual ghosts.

How do we feel about that house in Mossdeep? I understand that it was originally designed for some event of sorts, which did not get carried over (well, at least in US version of games), but a lot of fans wound up relating the place with ghost-stories and whatnot. If this is what we would like, I suppose they could apply our idea?

Also, I definitely agree; if they wish, they're always able to do something with Mt. Pyre. It's already a freaky location; all they'd have to do is add some eerie figure, and hopefully, things will be all set.

    Which house in Mossdeep?

The abandoned ship seems like a good place for a ghost story, considering people might've died there. Maybe a ghost could lead the player to where the scanner is...

Quick trip to Bulbapedia got me this:

"Moreover, in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire only, a house run by an old man who organizes e-Reader battles for his amusement can be found."

    -Mossdeep City; Residential houses

I don't really recall any other houses aside from Super-Rod Fisherman, the one with the mail-sending Wingull, Secret Base kid and obviously, Steven's house. I've played through RSE a lot of times, and I'm pretty sure I've never heard about that house before. :/

Oh, the abandoned ship! I just remembered about the place when the islands started playing the remix of the abandoned ship's theme. Surely there might be a place for a ghost or two over there. Preferably in those 6 rooms. I mean, I'd at least expect some ghosts of the passengers of the S.S. Cactus (seriously, that's the ship's name). P:

I didn't even think the Abandoned Ship, that would likely be a possibility of some sort of ghost character. I also thought there may be some new area where there can be someone to show up, like how BW had Marvelous Bridge with the ghost girl...

The Abandoned Ship is perfect for ghosts - especially since it seems that the ship had shipwrecked and that was the reason it was abandoned. It would be pretty creepy to find the ship's dead passengers / captain on it, but it would also be pretty cool and add something else to the place.

I could see the abandoned ship have something, the demo hints that the story of it will be expanded. It's now called sea mauville. Maybe wattson worked the engines but they malfunctioned blowing up half the ship, killing innocent lives, hence why places like roim doors have holes in them. All why the evidence gets hidden of what happened.

As for the mosedeep house, its right by where you enter from the beach, with the boxes inside. It was intended for a special e reader event but that never happened.
