for me it'd be a wolf or a seal. or a fox. theyre cute as hell we would be good friends. id keep my seal in my swimming pool

    GIRAFFE OMG

Giraffes are my favorite animal and I'd love to own one aaaa.

Wouldn't it be nice if I could have an otter as a pet? Or for that matter, a chipmunk or squirrel? All three of these animals are soooo adorable.

Imagine having an elephant you could ride everywhere.

I'd want a crow - they're super intelligent birds with so much personality, I think after dogs they would probably be the most fun pets in terms of how much they would actually interact and bond with you.

I've been fascinated with them ever since I read this study about how crows can apparently recognize human faces - they never forget a face, and they're very good at communicating to other crows about people, so be nice to your neighborhood crows because they could remember you for generations. More random crow trivia I have: they have their own languages and regional dialects, they know how to use tools, and they've been observed to display a wide range of emotions; they seem to mourn their dead, call out to other crows if there's something to be feared in the area and they mate for life and stay with the same families/neighborhood for their whole lives.

There's also quite a few stories of them developing close bonds with people, like this little girl in Seattle had been feeding crows in her area for a while so they always know to hang out around her place - obviously for more food but they also seem to like her as they keep bringing her gifts and trinkets. One time her mom left a camera lens cap or something in a park, and the crows actually brought it back to their doorstep.

And another favourite crow of mine is Canuck, but I'm biased since he is a Vancouver crow - https://www.facebook.com/thecrowandI/

Ok I'll shut up about crows now

man me too. crows are really amazing animals and id love to befriend them one day. theyre crazy smart. i read that post about the lens cap too and was awestruck for a good day or two.

    I legit want a penguin.
    Or a raccoon.
    Or a hedgehog.

A giraffe for sure. Those fuckers are cool and have always interested me

A gorilla would be choice too

I would love to own a hedgehog! They're one of my favourite animals. I'd also love either a stoat, otter, eagle, bear, deer, lion or a wolf. There are a lot of cool animals that I'd like to own but those are the few that I can think of from the top of my head.

I don't understand the purpose of this thread seeing the answer is so obvious

    Lynx

    Obviously

Give me all the giant cats and dogs- lions, wolves, etc. No idea where I'd keep it, but I'll take a whale too. Oh and a polar bear, they're my favorite.

I love so many animals this is such a hard question.
