What Was Your First Game System?

My first gaming console of any kind was the Gameboy Advance SP. I know, I was way late to anything gaming related, but even then I was only 6. Give me a break. T-T
 
My first ever game console was a Gameboy Color, which is kinda broken and only functions via AC adaptor. This then was followed by a PS2, which I still own and is in still perfect working condition, and finally an NDS lite. Didn't get any of the consoles that came in between, nor any that came after for that matter.
 
Sega Genesis..? I really don't know. For whatever reason, it was swiftly replaced by an old Windows PC (running either 3 or 95), which was replaced by a newer one with Windows 98. The first system I personally owned was a transparent Game Boy Pocket.
 
My mother's SNES. The first game I played, I think, was Super Mario All Stars.

Heh, I started with a great game on a great system. How lucky I am, heh.
 
My cousin's DS lite. It was always quite dirty, and eventually started having problems. (Losing its charger didn't help it.) And after a while, it lost so much battery that it wouldn't even turn on :/ Then one day, I decided to put it out of its misery and throw it out.
 
Same as Tenth Doctor - my mom's old grey Game Boy, but the game in it was Tetris. c: My own first system was the Game Boy Color, the crystal purple one. I was never allowed to have a console when I was little, I think my parents didn't like the idea of me hogging their TV when I played games, haha. So I only had handhelds and computer games until a couple years ago.
 
My first console in general was my grandmother's SNES. The first console that was actually mine was the N64.
 
Pretty much every console we've ever owned has been 'shared' for the family. Even the 360 and PS2 I bought for myself - the only two home consoles I've ever purchased - have been family consoles. I had to share with not only my three older sisters, but my parents as well. I still remember coming home from school and seeing my parents sitting on the living room floor, playing Lolo on the NES. {XD}

That said, I grew up with an Atari 2600, Intellivision, and NES. They added an SNES and N64 to the mix when I was still pretty young, so you could say I grew up with those, too. But the first three listed were my "first" consoles.


The only consoles that have ever been exclusively mine were my handhelds. Specifically, I received a yellow Gameboy Color for Christmas - the same as many others here, it would seem.
My sisters had no interest in them after passing down their original Gameboys to me, and my parents had complaints of being too old to use the tiny screen.
 
Mine was the old Commodore 64, in which my Da had a few games for. My first one I played was Bubble Bobble, then it was something called Pinball Wizard, I think. I was only 2-3 at the time.
 
When I was 3 or 4, I played the Atari and SNES for the first time.

Funny thing, my grandma loved videogames, though you would never suspect a thing since she was so traditional. I remember when WWE (WWF) used to be cool when I was 8, and she completely annihilated me and my brothers at the games. She must have secretly practiced.

Anyway, I consider the n64 the first system of my childhood since I played it regularly since I was 5.
 
My dad had a PlayStation and a Dreamcast for as long as I can remember, but he ended up packing away the former and selling the latter when I was about seven. I wouldn't get another game system until the Wii, and I only found that old PS1 a few years ago. I never play it because I have a ps2 but still, cool to look at.
 
Our first games console was a SNES and the very first game I played was Super Mario World (This was in 1996) we also got a Megadrive later that same year and played Sonic 2 non-stop great times.

My personal first games console was a Playstation 1 purchased in 1997 along with Monkey Hero & FFVII.
Monkey Hero being one of my first Playstation games I consider it a hidden gem, its a rip off of Zelda kind of. Probably would find this rubbish if this was not my first. This console showed me the world of JRPGs and got me hooked for a lifetime. Grandia, FFVII, IX so many little gems on this console.

I think our generation can consider ourselves lucky to of grown up in the golden age of gaming now its all about online play shooters and not much storyline at all.
 
Well my brother got a SNES when I was like 5-6 and he was like 6-7, so that's the first one I played. The first one I got myself was a GameBoy Pocket when I was like 7 ish.
 
The first system that was all mine was a orignal Game Boy.
It was red, my favorite color!

I think I got it when I was 9-10 years old on Christmas & I got Super Mario Land 2: The 6 Golden Coins
with it.
 
Old. . . I feel old. My first experience with electronic gaming was with Pinball machines, actually. If you want to be fair and say "what console?" I just remember working at old text adventures on DOS. I truly can't remember most of those (all muddled with so much other stuff) but I remember there was a fantasy text, dungeons, space exploration, and I think the amazon jungle.
 
The first console I played was the NES, which belonged to my dad. He has since passed it down to me. We can't find our games for it currently though, which sucks.

The first console I ever owned was the N64 (not counting handhelds) AND the SNES on the exact same day...my birthday! :) My mom found the SNES at a garage sale with about twenty games, while my dad got me the N64 around its release with Diddy Kong Racing.

I still own all three original consoles and love them like they're brand new.
