3rd Gen What would you change/add for FR/LG?

Pokemon LeafGreen and FireRed were respectable remakes of the origional Red, Blue, and Yellow games in terms of music and graphics updating. The gameplay and atmosphere of the region however, some call it a mixed bag: some people enjoyed it, some people thought it was boring, and other comments.

That being said, did you feel that the FireRed and LeafGreen games needed more of an overhaul? If so, what would you of changed, or added to the region to suit your interest? How would what you've added enhanced the region, or your overall enjoyment of the games?

FireRed was my first ever Pokemon, and to this day I think it's near enough perfect, but like Angie said, it really is letdown by how it forces the player to catch a certain amount of Pokemon to get important items or access the post-game :/

I quite like that they stayed true for the most part and incorporated the Professor's Aids to give you items after you'd fleshed out your Pokedex. I'm currently playing Leaf Green and I can't really say I have any concerns with it at all.

Day/Night system!! ): It's seriously my biggest gripe with the 3rd gen games after the brilliant 2nd gen ones had day/night and even days of the week. Made 3rd gen feel more... cartoony and plastic.

I'd add the Gen 2 cross-evolutions to the Kanto dex, so that you can evolve the likes of Golbat and Onix before getting the National Dex.

I'd make Eevee evolve into Espeon with the Sun Stone, and into Umbreon with the Moon Stone.

Also, I agree with colours that having to catch 60 Pokemon to receive the National Dex and do postgame stuff is annoying. I'd do away with that restriction altogether.

I also agree with my friends who commented above and feel that it would've been great if those things were present in the game.
