What's the Party Game?

    Okay, you're friends are over your house. Maybe you're drinking some booze, maybe you're just hanging out. You ask if anyone wants to play a game. What game is it?

    With my group of friends it's Super Mario Bros. 3. With the NES classic you just pop the HDMI from the Switch into the classic and you're on your way. Drunken adventures await in the mushroom kingdom. You beat a level you pass the controller, you lose a life you pass the controller. Simple. The more you drink the tougher it gets.

    Bonus Question! What game do you want it to be? Super Mario Bros. 3 is the go to game at my place but occasionally we throw in the original Super Mario Bros. or Super Mario World. I love it if we could play some Super Mario Bros. 2. All my friends hate that game. It's one of my favorites. What do you think?
     
    usually when there's more than 2 people involved our go-to games have been Smash Bros and Mario Kart

    funnily enough I drink more when playing those by myself than with other people
     
    When I was a kid, my friends would come over every other weekend or so and we'd just play Smash Bros, so I'm just going to go with that.

    Although I love to play Mario Party with my friends at some point and see how fun that would be.
     
    Lately, my friends and I have been really into playing on the Switch - three of us have one so there's always more than enough joycons to go around. We mostly play Mario Party, Mario Kart and Smash on it, but one friend and I also have a long standing Tetris war so when it's just the two of us that's what we default to.
     
    if we have friends over and playing video games, we usually will play:
    • smash bros
    • mario party
    • mario kart
    • 1, 2, switch!
    1 2 Switch is actually pretty fun with a large group of people + alcohol tbh

    honestly i don't really have a lot of friends so no one ever comes over to visit lmfao. back in college though, i had my N64 in the living room at our apartment so when i had a social life, we'd have friends over and we'd play mario party 2. that was the big party game. usually if i invite my sister over, our "party game" is super smash bros melee and kirby air ride since those are her favorite games. she's not a big gamer really, she just grew up playing those with me so that's just naturally where we gravitate. we used to play super mario maker together too after it first came out. she's great at platformers and me not so much, so i'd make'em and she'd play'em. and we'd tag team on the online stuff, but that usually meant me dying and her actually completing the level bc i couldn't do it lmfao.
     
    Nobody comes over to visit anymore.. back when I was a kid, friends would come over but we'd go outside and play on the trampoline, or go swimming.. I never had that 'friend comes over and we play games' scenario :C
     
    back in college it was N64 mario kart. that shit was the tits.

    Now it's Mario Kart or Smash on Switch. Maybe Mario Party on Switch but like low key i dont want to play that
