What's Your "I Just Think They're Neat" Pokémon

    I saw a YouTube community post with this question (with the appropriate image of Marge Simpson holding a potato), and I thought it'd be really nice to talk about it here. What's your "I Just Think They're Neat" Pokémon? (I should probably try to explain what I mean by this.) As opposed to a favorite or most used Pokémon, an "I Just Think They're Neat" Pokémon is one that you just kind of like despite maybe not having proper reasons in your head. It can also be a Pokémon that hasn't reached its final form in the game(s) or one you just wouldn't put on your team (even casually) because it's not very good in a playthrough. In terms of the anime (which I haven't seen much of past Hoenn), it could be a Pokémon that you're fond of seeing, like an old friend, regardless of whether the Pokémon is used in the battle or if it's just hanging around. I suppose it could also be a Pokémon that reminds you of someone you know IRL, like a friend from school, but please be careful not to overshare.

    My personal "I Just Think They're Neat" Pokémon is Slakoth. I've talked before about how much I love the evolutionary line's "story," but I've gravitated towards Slakoth a lot in recent months. The Slacker Pokémon is just a cute little sloth with low energy. (Dat vacant expression!) According to its PokéDex entry in specifically Pokémon Sapphire, it has a heart beat of 1, which is kind of funny. While researching that, I realized its entry in Pokémon Emerald suggests it can travel long distances by swimming in rivers. Huh. Anyway, I just really like the cut of its jib!

    I also really like Phanpy. The concept of a pint-sized elephant is really cute, and the color scheme is very pleasing to me. I'm sad whenever I see my Phanpy evolve into Donphan in the games.
     
    Musharna. I... don't know why I like it, I guess it being a tapir is kind of cool? But I can't really understand either way since it's not usually my type of Pokémon, but I still like it quite a bit. Thanks for being my type of Pokémon for reasons unknown, Musharna!!

    Poliwrath definitely. It's not a good Pokémon to begin with but I do enjoy using it and I love its simple design. Normally I would ridicule such a pokémon because of its evenly distributed stats, weird design, or the fact that there are better Pokémon out there. But Poliwrath has always been a favorite of mine and I enjoy using it in gen 1 and HeartGold/SoulSilver.
     
    My favourite Pokemon are usually ones that have been useful in my playthroughs, whether they're the official games, spin-offs, or ROM hacks. However, there are also Pokemon that I only use for a while only to replace them with something better later on, or never get to use at all, but I do like their designs. Some of those Pokemon would be Arbok, Jumpluff, Solrock, Drifblim, Vanilluxe, Trevenant, Lurantis, Eldegoss, Overqwil, and Orthworm.
     
    I've been reading all the replies, but I don't have much to say. I do want to comment on Jumpluff and Vanilluxe being good candidates for this thread. I think their designs are interesting, but I would never use them in a playthrough. (I did try with Hoppip once, but I quickly realized it was a detriment to the team.)
