I use Pokemon team made on Pokemon X, all of them are breed Shinies except Metagross which I've got for pre-ordering the game.

Ninetales, Glaceon, Metagross, Sceptile, (B)Rotom and Milotic. All of them in their 40-45's. I stopped playing long ago...

One thing about this team is that two thirds of this team have Mega Evolutions. Another thing about this team is that it is my second team where the members are all male. (First team where the members were all male was my World War II Ships team in X.) Course for this team, based on the nicknames, I specifically looked for male Pokemon.

Honestly, I have no clue what was going on in my mind when I looked at my team and went "Oh, good job there! That's the perfect team I'll use for the rest of the game!". But oh well...

Honorable mention goes to Pierce, the Bisharp I traded from X: with Thunder Wave and False Swipe, he helped me catch many legendaries. He and Latios were my Legend-Catching Squad.

Not completely sure what the items were other than the Altarianite, since this was a while ago. Never used a Shiftry or Crawdaunt before, and I was pleasantly surprised at just how decent they both are; I love using Pokemon I've never used before and getting to like them.

This team served me well in my return to Hoenn. Was a good mix of old favourites (Sceptile and Glalie) new favourites (Pancham) and some Pokemon I've never given a chance before (Skarmory, Sharpedo and Masquerain) And getting to see their triumphs during the ending credits was amazing to watch. And having the choice between three different Mega Evolutions to choose from in each battle was a lovely option to have. ^ ^

Whenever I'm playing a new pokemon game for the first time, I like to make sure I use pokemon that I've never used before but have always liked or been interested in (except in the case of starters, which I typically use the one I hadn't used in a while). I also always have a naming scheme (this naming scheme was How I Met Your Mother).

This team did pretty will. Unfortunately, most of the pokemon that I really wanted to see shine because I liked them but never gave them a chance before (Spinda, Masquerain, and Probopass) didn't do as exceptionally as I had hoped. However, they held their own and did an excellent job on the team (Masquerian was MVP for the first half of the game, so even if it didn't do as well in the end, it still did it's job at the start). Each had their own times when they were the best, although overall Altaria did a lot of the work. It was also nice getting to have two megas to choose from.

Having Cacturne was surprisingly great, and I was very pleased with how well it turned out. It held it's own against every non-bug move and always had something to damage the enemy hard in return.

I didn't want to plan my team for ORAS so I just went with whatever Pokemon I came across. I decided to use the Beldum that we got given since Mega Metagross is such a HBIC and I really wanted Mega Lopunny too so I transferred a Buneary I had hatched on Y to use. When I ran into Numel I had always liked Camerupt so why not and the Pikachu cosplay was cute so I wanted to use that too. Milotic was because I had never used one in a run through so I transferred over a Feebas and used that. Looking back I'm not happy with how the majority of my team was gifted or transferred with the exception of Numel and Pikachu. (Well even that was gifted, kinda) Even Sceptile was bred as a Treecko on Y and sent over.

With AS however I wanted to use only Pokemon I had gotten in game, although for 1/6 I didn't stick to it, so this is my current team, we're at 6 badges and kicking ass!

Now this team works for me. I chose Sylveon because I wanted a reason to use a Pokemon in Amie so I got Eevee to max affection and the in battle aesthetics it gives are so adorable & it's shiny and looks pretty so <3

Blaziken was a Pokemon I didn't really wanna use because I had already used his mega. Thinking about it though, I have NO idea why I didn't choose Swampert considering I like him the best out of the three Hoenn starters. (It's really bugging me now tbh I haven't started a new game or anything on either one???????)

Pining for a Water Stone for Lombre tho :( and Altaria/Sableye were because I adore their megas <3 Armaldo was an on the spot decision, it was either him or Cradily.

I'm doing this off of the top of my head so please excuse me. I played through ORAS twice. The first time I played through it I had:

I tend to build my team as I play, choosing pokemon for their designs, typing, move set, or whichever pokemon happens to appear in the wild. Post game, I start building my dream team(s).
Sceptile : Starter, Mightyena: First Caught (I named her Brendan in honor of the character who helped me catch her :P), Breloom : Came through for me in many battles, Vigoroth: Yawn and Slack Off were useful, Azumaril : HMs, Latias : Automatically received + Favorite Pokemon
