When you make a mistake when writing,do u cross it out,write over it or use whiteout?

I use pencils whenever I can, so my preference is to simply erase. However, when I am using a pen and I make a mistake, I cross out my mistake and write the correction above it. I've never really liked White-Out; I hate waiting for it to dry.

Cross it out, which makes my writing look 100x worse than it already is. =P

Am I the first English person here not to go "is whiteout Tipex"?

You'll find my handwriting riddled with mistakes everywhere, and every time it's just that I'm so poor at writing that I can't even get the letters' shapes right. Still, I just cross mistakes out, usually even if I'm using a pencil since I can't be arsed to search for a rubber every ten seconds.

I always use pen for everything, so when I make a mistake I cross it out with swirls so you can't read it at all.

I'll use the eraser if it's a pencil / erasable pen. I cross it out if it's anything other than that. I can't be bothered to take the time to find my Wite-Out, let alone waiting for it to dry. It's messy. :V

I'm a neat freak, so I'd probably use the white out to remove my mistake.

I hate white-outs. Of course I'll cross my mistakes. Or censor them.

I'm going to write one of the incredibly boring, unforunately non-paragraph..ish, weird list things.

Pencil: It depends. When I'm taking my time and/or not rushing in the least bit, I'll erase with the end eraser or a seperate eraser at hand. When I'm rushing, I'll just cross a mistake out so I don't have to go through the terribly long trouble of turning my pencil over and breaking my train of thought. XDD;

Pen: Cross out, allllllll the time. I make sure that reading a pen written mistake is near impossible, and I don't even erase with pen erasers. They're crap and always leave marks. D:

A note about white-out: Nevereververeverrrr!! White-out is terrible and bumpy. I've only used it twice since September- once when I screwed up a really important honors science lab written in pen, and another when I ran out of white paint and needed to color something white :33. We can't really use white-out anyway, since it's more or less banned from the school because of impulses to get high off of it.

Typically, I cross it out with this circular scribble motion (Examples in here). I pull out the whiteout when the crossing out gets so bad, there's no space in that part of the line to put my corrections. XD;;

I even scribble things out when I write in pencil. It's insane. @@; And good luck finding a page that doesn't have something crossed out.
Heh. I do the same circular scribble motion. Excessively. If I goof up a lot and I'm using a pen you'll most likely find a few 'Caterpillars' (as they were oh so affectionately named by my 8th grade teachers) on my page. When I'm bored, I go over and scribble on them again. xD

I always use a pen and always cross out my mistakes with pretty lines. ^__^
I hate white-out, it smells weird and I don't like waiting for it to dry.
