Unova was based off of New York. Kalos was based off of France, while I'm pretty sure the rest of the games were based off of places in Japan. If you were in charge of setting the location for the next main-series Pokemon game, which real-life area would you base the new region off of?

There are lots of ideas floating around my head right now regarding this, but I feel it'd be rather cool if they were to base a region off India at some point in future.

India is a very populated area, so if we were to have a region focusing on this place, there likely wouldn't be much quiet locations here, aside from areas such as caves, woods, and so forth. I'd imagine there to be a couple of cities here and there (with the most major one being inspired by Bombay), and everything else would likely be villages.

As far as Pokémon themselves go, I believe we'd find ourselves running into a lot of grass, rock, ground, poison, water, and fire-types. You know, groups that are more related to nature. As for others, such as steel and electric, we might be able to run into them on locations such as power-plant or a factory.

I want a mostly snowy region. No one say Sinnoh, that was a half ass attempt at a "colder" region.

I'd want to see Russia as a Pokemon game. Cities in the western half and mostly barren in the eastern half.

The next game is gonna take place in London. Our character is a Brittish spy protecting the Queen from an evil team that wants to control the Legendary Loch Ness-monster Pokemon (even though that's in Scottland, not England).

    ...
Juuust kidding! Honestly, I have no idea what they're gonna do next. I actually didn't know the first four regions where based on actual parts of Japan until recently and now we have Poke-France and Poke-Manhattan, so who knows what's next!

I'd like to see a region based on the Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg). Aside from that, I think Germany, Great Britain, and Egypt would also make interesting regions.

I could imagine quite a few South American countries working here. If you take Brazil, for example, you have areas such as rainforests, big cities, favelas (well not an exact favela but something sort of similar) etc. that could make for interesting settings. You could also find inspiration for towns and cities from places in China, because they have an interesting array of buildings and locations.

OMG!! Me too, I love Snowbell City!

It would be awesome if they made a snowy region.

Aside from India as I've mentioned in my first post on here, I believe Canada-based region would also be rather cool, if they're planning to go towards such a route. Although a majority of Canada could already resemble some of our already-existing regions, in a way--Unova and Kalos, for example--the place still has got a lot of features and whatnot that we have yet to see in Pokémon games.

I would like oceania. new zealand maybe incl but maybe just plain oceania. where most water mons just know surf w/o needing an hm. India sounds interestinng but dont be mistaken it is a biiig country so you theres lots of desert areas and empty areas. For those not fond of water or for thise who like mountainneous areas, the nepal high plateau area. otherwise southern africa (botswana, namibia, south africa, mocambique, zambia and zim) would be a cool area with seasonal changes again. okavango delta, a riverdelta that disappears in thee middle of the bush/ desert. the kalahari desert with its drastic changes. highveld storms, savanna , the western cape and the drakensberg, namib desert and walvisbai(shrouded in fog most often) seeing that region is the biggest diamond mining region in the world it would be a grand place for diancie etc.

I'd like to see more regions based off countries in the southern hemisphere, or maybe countries with more extreme weather conditions (Egypt, Canada, etc.). Or why not ditch the base entirely and create something completely fictional, like a region on floating islands.
