Who did you find to be the hardest and easiest opponents in the game?

So basically, which trainers in the games did you find to be particularly easy or particularly difficult? As for me:

The hardest boss…

Would have to be Atticus, for that I did not expect to struggle that much against him. I don't remember my team much back there but I do remember the squad being okay to fight Poison mons, but even the first three mons on his team laid a great beating on them to the point on his last mon I had to sacrifice someone to heal up another mon to win.

The easiest boss…

Would have to be Poppy. Basically the only boss in the whole game, INCLUDING the earlygame ones, where I only used just one pokemon to win, that being my Camerupt. I even planned to use X items on Camerupt, which ended up not happening. Camerupt really just cleaned her. Copperajah and Bronzong I both one shot with Flamethrower, the former because I was worried about Ground coverage and the latter because I was worried about many things in general, the only reason Magnezone wasn't super easy was because of Sturdy, and Corviknight could deal damage and outsped, but it also went down easily thanks to recoil. And then for the last mon I used Will o wisp just in case it could have coverage and from then there was nothing it could do. Rika is a close second by the way, what prevented her from being balls easy was her Quagsire having Water absorb which I didn't expect. Seriously, I don't know who thought it was a good idea to go back to the fixed order E4. That system just makes the earlier ones have a high chance to be a cakewalk because chances are the player would be much higher levelled than them.

Hardest:

Probably Ortega (Fairy Team Star). Had nothing great for Fairy. Resisted the Body Press strategy too. Knew it would be a problem before going in. Had Armarouge, at least.

Will not mention difficulty due to level difference. Says "Great Tusk" hands down otherwise. One-shot everything. Names a random Gogoat trainer with a 10+ level advantage as second runner-up.

Easiest:

Kofu (Water gym). Came in underleveled. Still did fine with Floragato.

Gave them pretty terrible movesets. Why does Wugtrio have a special Water move as a physical attacker? Was afraid of Crabominable at first. Expected an Ice or Fighting move. Went for Crabhammer, a move unaffected by Iron Fist.

Ignores difficulty due to level difference once again. Stomped Larry with Garganacl's 15+ level advantage, otherwise. Probably would have destroyed it at even level too, in fairness.

Hardest? Honestly none since I tend to overlevel, but

did more damage to me than most other challengers. Maybe in part because I was so stunned by the music haha. I was overleveled for this fight too but not as much as some of the others!

Easiest? Oh man I feel bad for saying

Penny

. I must have OHKO'd most if not all of her Pokémon. #oops

 

[Sweet Serenity]

The hardest boss that I faced was Penny, mainly because I was under-leveled when we battled. She was actually close to defeating me, but I still won though without any use of items. Her evolutions of Eevee, along with Baby-Doll Eyes was pretty effective against me. As for the easiest, I honestly can't tell you. Pokémon is just easy in general, to be honest, so nobody really stands out in that regard.

Hardest: Mela, by which i mean she gave me the most shit and it took me the longest to beat her. If not her then iono, i did not have any ground types
Easiest: Honestly alot once i got overlevel, i guess katy seeing as she wasnt even hard when i only had like 2 pokemon
