6th Gen Would you buy ORAS if you found out Delta Emerald was in development?

    Just to throw out a fun hypothetical to consider.
    What if it were leaked that a Delta Emerald really was in development but wasn't going to be released until a long while after Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire? If this meant no Johto Starter for completing the Pokedex, no 3D Groudon vs Kyogre cutscene, and no Battle Frontier in ORAS would you still be willing to buy the games?

    To add to the weight of the decision, if Nintendo or GameFreak had a PR disaster and made it clear that if sales for ORAS weren't up to snuff that Delta Emerald wouldn't be released at all would you still be willing to buy either of these games knowing that they were the 'inferior' product?
     
    Why not? If it wasn't going to come out for awhile then I might of well tear **** up in ORAS before DE comes out.
     
    Definitely. I'm one of those people who HAS to buy games as soon as they're out because I feel like I'm missing out otherwise XD I buy all versions of the games anyway.
     
    I'd buy ORAS and I probably wouldn't buy emerald depending on how much stuff is getting added.

    But oh well, I'm more interested in people's reasons behind their answers than anything else~ (I'm not seeing any way to add a poll.)

    I have a nack for collection all the games.
    I have ALL of them to date.
     
    I'd buy all three. I'm pretty sure it would be worth having the complete trio, they would all tie in with one another nicely for a finish on Gen VI!
     
    For me, it would depend on when Delta Emerald would come out. If it wasn't that much longer of a wait then i would wait and just buy DE.
     
    I probably wouldn't buy ORAS then, seeing as how if there was a Delta Emerald, it would most likely be better than ORAS because that's what Game Freak always does: makes the first pair and leaves a bunch of stuff outta them, only to put out another game in the same region a year or so later that has everything that the previous 2 should've had in the first place.

    But fortunately, the probability of a Delta Emerald exisitng is so so low that we don't have to worry about that.
     
    Yes I would buy 1 of them. It really is no different for X and Y.

    Why buy X or Y, when we know there is going to be a 3rd game or sequels.
     
    Would likely just go for one of the two, then get DE.
    SOARED. Sapphire Omega Alpha Ruby Emerald Delta.
    If only I could buy ARSE...
     
    Without a doubt, I would definitely purchase ORAS. After all content in these two games, I can't imagine them to possibly add anything more in Delta Emerald, unfortunately. Well, they could if they choose--they're the developers, so it's all up to them--but I wouldn't allow that to stop me from enjoying any other Pokémon game.

    I might buy it somewhere down the line, but first and foremost, I'd try ORAS to experience how things are, how different Hoenn feels since generation three, and so forth.

    Regardless of what Gamefreak has planned, I already know I won't be able to stop myself from buying these games as soon as they're available on the eShop.
     
    I'd still get Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire no matter whether an Emerald remake was coming or not. I usually just want to enjoy Hoenn again like my 11-year-old self did.

    But IMO a Delta Emerald would suck. Kalos is the main region of 6th gen, so it deserves more games. I sincerely hope they release a Zygarde game in Kalos instead of a Delta Emerald.
     
    If I had the money to, I definitely would by all three to experience what each version has to offer, and the fact that there would probably be version exclusives and whatnot. Though the possibility of a Emerald remake seems pretty far fetched considering that ORAS hasn't even been released and the X and Y expansions (i.e Z) haven't even been leaked or announced yet, so this won't happen anytime soon.
