There are a few empty apartments in Mauville Hills, the second floor of New Mauville. If you were a Hoenn resident, would you purchase an apartment here? Even Apartment 16, which might be haunted..?

Probably not. I don't really like Mauville City because of its weird indoor structure. I would much rather live somewhere that is outdoors, maybe something by the ocean like Lilycove.

However, if I had to live in Mauville for whatever reason, I would live in one of those apartments because they are really nice :3

Usually in a game I pick some random house and pretend to live there, and that is the case with pokemon too.
I usually just hang around the apartments doing nothing because I can :p

Sure it's not the best city to live in, but It's not bad at all :)

They are nice apartments, but nah. That's like the least appealing place in the Hoenn region, besides maybe Rustboro. I can't even decide, honestly. Just not Mauville lol

I would definitely like to live in Mauville Hills based on how modern Mauville City got in OR/AS. As someone who lives in an apartment myself, it would actually be a nice place compared to the run-down piece of junk that my apartment complex is.

Sure. Centrally located. I'm sure one comes with being the champion of Hoenn.

No it looks far too cramped! The rooms look lovely and it'd be cool living above a big shopping centre for the sake of convenience but the city just looks far too industrialised and lacking of any kind of nature for me. I can definitely see the perks but it's not somewhere I'd choose to live.

As much as I like the designs of the Mauville upstairs apartments, I don't think I'd be financially capable of renting one-the rent would probably be sky high.

Mauville Hills are kind of cramped and weired, unfit for me to live and weired in the sense.. .. ..uh, I don't know! They just seem weired to me.
I would instead like to dwell in Mossdeep City, solely because of that cool Space Centre after I'm the Hoenn Champion, exactly what Steven did!

Well, after you finish the game, you'd have got more than a hundred thousand pokédollars to spare!

Apparently there's a good deal on the rent for Apartment 16! Though I heard somewhere that it's haunted, if you can deal with that.

edit: WHO PUT THIS ON TWITTER LOL

Yes, if Sootopolis City wasn't available for some reason.

I used to want to live in Sootopolis as well, but I think it might be a bit inconvenient to use Surf to get to the other half of the city. If there's a way to get across without getting wet/taking out a Pokemon, then I would want to live there too :)

I would gladly live in Mauville City. There's more behind this than liking the apartments themselves. There's more a feeling of liking the city itself. Wattson himself is no less of a draw too; he's a friendly sort of person, and I think the city itself has much the same charms of home anyways.

The shopping available just downstairs is really neat. There's plenty of places to dine as well as there being even a few trainer oriented facilities as well! As a Pokemon trainer I'd probably enjoy Mauville as a place; mostly because it's also centrally located as well as anything, there's an easily accessible route to another city just south of there; cycling road doesn't mandate any walking through pokemon habitats. I could easily and quickly get used to living in such a city.

As for rents; I doubt they'd be too significantly high. Given Mauville's location and population; there's probably not super high demand. The fact that there are multiple vacancies there also implies that perhaps the city ISN'T that desirable of a destination. But with two adjoining cities a safe route walk/ride away, I feel like it's nestled in the right place to be a nice and peaceful place to live.

That said; I wouldn't say no to a place in Mossdeep or Sootopolis, but both are island cities and are slightly disadvantageous, being in the waters of Hoenn, rather than the landmass of Hoenn.
Lilycove as well as Rustboro are also nice places to be.
