[Spoilers] XY Capture/Evolution/Release Thread

Which kalo Grass type Pokemon Ash will catch if he doesn't catch Chespin ???

It still looked like that Wulfric was in a forest with a lot of snow, and we haven't seen Articuno yet.

So manybe instead of a pokemon evolving in a fight against Articuno, Ash could catch one. I don't think they would show just Moltres and Zapdos, although Articuno I think has had the most screen time in the anime.

Also, I still see Serena's Braxien Evolving. Combusken evolved in the like second to last episode with her as a main character.

Well, it appear that Goodra is coming back, at least for an episode. Episode 926: Find Carbink! Goodra and Dedenne!!

It also appears that Ash was beat by Wulfric and is now going to battle Mega Abomasnow. Episode 925: Ash-Greninja VS Mega Abomasnow! The Giant Water Shuriken Triggers!!
Unless the episode is someone else's Abomasnow, but I don't see it being, unless it is Tierno's or another rivals.

How crazy of a twist would it be if Ash got an articuno? Probably not, but it be pretty cool.

As for these episodes titles. Glad to see that as hinted and as I thought, Goodra is coming back. I bet it stays after this, or some type of deal to get it when he needs to use it is made. IT makes sense. I like goodra to, and two dragons on Ash's team would be great.

And Wulfric has mega Abomasnow? Interesting as it appears he does not fight Ash the first time with it, but maybe he does, or maybe he gets the mega afterwards?

Currently , The Best Pokemon Ash could have caught was Aegislash ! But Writer handed over to Shota.
Now , I don't think there any Good & Cool Kalos pokemon out there for Ash to catch that process both Defensive and Offensive power.

The thing with Articuno is not that it's a legendary, but rather the fact that Ash already has 3 flying-types and last time I checked, he doesn't want to become a flying-type master, he wants to become a true Pokemon master.

Anyway, the Carbink episode looks interesting - I hope Ash catches Carbink if Goodra doesn't stay for the league. Looks like this way he'll get a method to fight against Wulfric. And maybe, just maybe, this also sets up the arrival of Mega Diancie. :)

It takes place after the rematch with Wulfirc where he wins. Carbrink could definitely be a nice capture imo.
 
Well , Now We could start talking about what Alola Starter Ash should catch ?
I really want Ash to catch Litten instate of Rowlet .

Its because Ash already had enough bird and flying pokemon in XYZ series and I don't want him another 3 flying and 2 bird team.
Also , Ash already got Ash-Greninja so he doesn't need Popplio.
However Ash haven't caught any Cat pokemon ! Ash lost his chance with Pyroar so I don't want him another chance for a cool fire cat.

Plus , It might be fun to watch Irrational Ash deal with Logical Litten.
Also , I like to see How Pikachu deal with a Cat as his Teamate.

Neither will happen imo; the latter in general would likely cause Greninja to be reset like Pikachu is at the beginning of new regions since he'd be too strong if he kept his current strength.

I honestly don't give a hoot which S/M Starter Ash gets, though. They all look dreadful to me.
 
Chances are he's not going to be Greninja with him to be honest. So the chances of him getting Poppilo is there. Not that the writers wold care regardless. Giving him a sea lion or a bird is more likely than a cat.
 
Both Litten and Rowlet..
Ash didnt catch a cat pokemon yet, and I think this one is going to be intresting for him. Plus, I think Ash will always catch a Flying Type pokemon, and he lacks a grass type pokemon starter for a while.{XD}

It is interesting that Kalos is the only region that Ash not only didn't catch the Grass-type starter in, but no other Grass-types to make for that missing slot as well. Things are definitely wide open as to how his next team will end up now.
 
Hmm. We don't talk much about evolution in here...

So, I was wondering, if Ash goes with an approach where he switches his team up in the Pokemon League for a few rounds (what he did in Sinnoh, basically).

This may be wishful thinking, but I'd love for Ash to bring his Scraggy back, if he does a temporary team switcheroo in the Pokemon league again. Scraggy evolving would be a nice thing to see since it's probably his worst Pokemon, no offense, or anything.
 
The most disappointing fact is that Ash capture nothing New ! Even though he had 2 spot open for 2 wildcard thanks to Talonflame so he might finally have all type of pokemon in his collection.
In Fact , If Ash catch a grass type then then he has 2 ghost type available to him.
Worst part is , Talonflane doesn't even feel like a Fire type ! It feel more like a Flying type.
Not to mention , The Next Grass starter is also a Bird.
If Ash caught Pyroar then he would have a replacement of Litten.
But now , Ash might lose his chance of capturing another Lion/Tiger pokemon just because of another bird since Ash didn't caught a grass type in this series.

There will still be that regional bird pokemon for him to capture.. I still say he would get Litten and poplio in Alola...

As for the league, let's see what he is like after 8th badge...

And his own rival with megasceptile has 8 badges , but different ones.. I wonder what that is about
 
It's just something they like to do re:badges. Gary had different ones too (aND he had ten). Nothing else really comes out of that.

Despite there being a regional bird it doesn't mean that he won't get Rowlet. Look that this series for example. Not to mention two flying types in Kanto, two ground in Sinnoh, etc. Stacking on types is something Ash doesn't care about. He cares more about the Pokemon itself.

Even though most of his Kalos team is now fully evolved, it makes me wonder how will he do in the Kalos League, but i don't see his Kalos team being anything like he had during Sinnoh because he had a fire type and grass type.

I would like to see him bring back a good amount of pokemon and evolve them. Bulbasaur probably will never evolve due to it not wanting to. I could see Squirtle evolving once, but not sure he will bring it back.

I would love to see Snivy and Bayleef evolve. As well as Gible and Pignite. Buizel would also be a nice pokemon to evolve. I don't see him evolving more than 2 pokemon though. I guess Scraggy and Corphish could also evolve.
 
What if a legendary partners up with him for the league battles?.. That one trainer, Tobias, had a few...
