One thing I've been able to do during the pandemic is get into Nuzlockes again. I've already completed three (Alpha Sapphire, White and Platinum) and have three more currently underway:

Heart Gold: 15 badges, 9 deaths, Feraligatr, Arcanine, Primeape, Steelix, Exeggutor, Electabuzz
Y WonderWedlocke: 7 badges, 11 deaths, Grumpig + Florges, Ludicolo + Krookodile, Swalot + Lapras
White 2 Challenge Mode: 3 badges, 1 death, Dewott, Liepard, Leavanny, Magnemite, Sandile, Golbat

All three of these are no healing items in battle. I'm a masochist alright!

I started a new playthrough of Crystal (physical cartridge) yesterday. Here's my current team:

Cleo the Eevee♀ lv20 (planning to evolve her into Espeon)

I'll probably drop Sudowoodo at some point in favor of Sneasel or a random Shiny (if I find one), and I plan to swap Chinchou for Horsea once I get Whirlpool since Kingdra is one of those Pokémon I like but have rarely used. I'm also considering swapping out Dunsparce for something I haven't used as much in my Johto playthroughs, maybe a trade-exclusive Pokémon like Wartortle or Omastar/Kabutops.

UPDATE: Getting ready to head toward Victory Road with Amari the Meganium, Tersa the Dunsparce, Chila the Wigglytuff, Cleo the Espeon, Kai the Wartortle, and A.K. the Kingdra.

I've been replaying Crystal lately, so here's my final team after beating Silver's final team and the Elite Four for the second time:

Moves: Flame Wheel, Thunderpunch, Dig, Swift.

-Amity the Exeggutor (Female)
Level: 53
Moves: Giga Drain, Psychic, Sleep Powder, Leech Seed.

-Tenzin the Dragonite (Male)
Level: 55
Moves: Wing Attack, Thunder Wave, Extremespeed, Fly.

-DonaldDuck the Golduck (Male)
Level: 52
Moves: Surf, Ice Punch, Flash, Whirlpool.

-Toriel the Nidoqueen (Female)
Level: 52
Moves: Earthquake, Double Kick, Ice Punch, Fire Punch.

-Anne the Furret (Female)
Level: 51
Moves: Strength, Dynamicpunch, Shadow Ball, Cut.

Furret performed surprisingly well, as STAB Headbutt and Strength hit hard. Shadow Ball and Dynamicpunch make very good coverage, even if the latter is a very risky move. She reliably took care of numerous Psychic Pokémon I had to overcome.

Nidoqueen was a bulky alternative who was just as diverse offensively. Exeggutor is awesome once you let Exeggcute learn Sleep Powder, which wasn't easy to raise to that level.

Red got genuinely tough when his Blastoise of all things was sent out. Snorlax was no pushover, but Sleep Powder and Dynamicpunch both worked to my advantage. I had to play stall with Golduck using Whirlpool against Blastoise and a lot of Max Potions, while healing most of my team as backup to stack the damage by the watery trapping move. It creamed the rest of my surviving team with STAB Surf and Blizzard. Flash only helped with Blizzard, as it failed more often than not.

Now back to Pokémon Yellow again.

Currently at Silph Co. I was surprisingly able to access Cinnibar Island sooner than expected once I had defeated Koga, which is why I have a Kabutops at this point in the game. I decided to use the traded Machamp from that NPC near Saffron's northernmost gate. This is most likely my final team, as I had done a lot of grinding with them to be ready for some tough fights ahead.

Machamp grew really fast, as I saved the Dig TM for it, as none of my other teammates could learn it in this generation. After some extensive training in Diglett's Cave, it handled the Channelers in Pokémon Tower, as well as those Bikers and Cue Ballers on Cycling Road. Most of my team's levels are at their 40's.

Omega Ruby: (After gym 7)

Swampert, Gardevior, Roserade, Flygon, Slaking, and Mightyena. And there's Sealeo, the honorary member because I didn't want my starter to have 4 water HM's.

I was only going to use Mightyena until around the 4th gym, but it did so good to my surprise that it became a permanent team member. I have a new found respect for Mightyena. Even late game it's hanging on and doing possibly better than some of my other team members.

As I am writing this, I have just arrived at Mistralton City. Just gotta meet Skyla at Celestial Tower before getting my 6th Badge.

I got Scrafty after some sufficient grinding. Lucky Egg is a convenient, if not, busted tool for training. I did some trading beforehand, as my Pansear had a Nature that cripples it's Sp. Atk. I taught it Fire Punch in White 2 before trading it back as soon as I got the C-Gear from Fennel.

Staryu/Starmie is pretty much always on my team, so I've deliberately gone for something different this time, and Lanturn's typing makes it one of the best in earlier generations.

Everyone barring Emboar were bred in other versions. I traded them over as soon as I had beat Cheren. The adventure was still challenging and long, even with a powerful team, as most of them are on the slow side.

Skyla and Ghetsis were no pushovers, even if the latter was nerfed compared to his OG Final Battle. His Hydreigon was a hard-hitting beast that would lay the flinches.

I taught Octillery Flamethrower when it was a Remoraid. Once I clear every cranny and nook in the postgame, I am considering to teach it Fire Blast at some point.

Replaying Unova on it's 10th Anniversary is an awesome way to pass the time until the Crown Tundra gets released later this month.

Recently I got the urge to play through Leaf Green again so after transferring my old team (and some other Pokemon I wanted to keep) to my Heart Gold save, I restarted my Leaf Green save about a week ago. I'm currently in Celadon City, getting ready to challenge Erika and my team is:
