I'm just wondering how long it takes everyone here to get to work and or school everyday ? From the moment you leave do you walk, drive, bike, take a train or subway or take the bus ? I leave at 5:15 every morning and walk for 15 minutes to the metro station, I then ride the metro for a half hour and then take a bus for twenty minutes till I arrive at work. What about you ?

    Oh dear, I hate the mornings. ;~;

I get up at 4 each morning, leave the house with my mom at 5:45-ish, drive down through town and get to the bus stop at about 6:10, and then get to school at 7 with a half hour to chill.

The afternoon, though, is terribleeee. I get out of school at 4, wait for the bus until 4:45, and eventually get home at 6:30.

    A terribly long day. :(

By car, it takes me around less than half an hour to get to school, but more than that if there's traffic.

    Oh yes, me too. :\

It usually takes me 5 minutes to drive to my school since it's just one suburb away from me. However if we're running late and we need to catch the bus it would usualy take 5-10 minutes. I had to catch the bus once because my car broke down. I hate being late so I got realy stressed and had to hurry and catch the bus. Lukily I arrived just as the bell went.

I wake up at about 4-5 AM-ish and take a shower at about 5 or so because I don't like to waste time and procrastinate, because I take long showers because of my hair(it's sort of a pain, but I like it anyway, I guess. xD). After that, I leave at about 6:20-ish to catch my bus to school and then actually get to the school at about 7 AM.

So that's my morning, I guess.

I usually wake up at about 5am for a run and by 5:30 I'm eating/getting ready in general, so by 6am I can watch cartoons/do homework and leave at 7:30 for the bus. After the bus has finished dropping off kids at other schools, I get to my school at about 8:20.

As for work, I leave at 10am to catch the fast bus to the local shopping centre, then I walk to my shop and get ready for my 11-2:30 shift. Then on the way home, just catch the bus that conveniently stops two houses away from my house. <3

Takes me about 10-15 minutes to drive to campus. And I don't have a job, so no worries for that. But when I had my job during Christmas, it was about a 15-20 minute drive, depending on the traffic. So nothing too terrible.

My commute is pretty meh. It's 35 minutes on a very very good day. An hour or more on fairly bad ones (when the transit system is clogged). Yes, I take public transit. Yes, our city's public transit system is both the most expensive and the worst in the world (guess which city I live in!).

    That is all.

An hour to school and an hour back.

    It sucks.

My walk to work takes me 35-45 minutes, depending on the day. It's a two-mile walk, according to Google Maps. It helps me wake up, to be honest, and it helps me unwind, so most days I don't mind it at all, even if it means getting up earlier than if I had a ride.

It's only about a 5 minute drive to work, the few times I get rides home. :(

Wellllllll it takes me about 20 minutes total (10 there and 10 back) to drop my brother off at school in the morning, then it takes 40 minutes total (20 there and 20 back) to go to my school. plus I usually go to my friend's houses a few times a week and depending on the friend, it can take anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes.

I drive a lot hahaha, but I love it. though I can't wait till I get my apartment this summer that's hopefully closer to the college I transfer to!

My commute is about 30-40 minutes to school if the weather isn't snow, and around 10-15 minutes to work. Not bad commute times at all. The distance to school is about 24 miles, while the distance to my work is 8 miles. Definitely not reasonable walking distances in the dead of winter.

My dad's a Taxi Driver so when he leaves for work I usually hitch a ride with him. I wake up at 5 every morning and We leave at 6:45AM and because there is hardly anyone on the road I get to school by 7 (Early Much XD) But then I can use the computers without anyone bugging me before school starts at 8:25.

Going home is a completely different story. School ends at 3:25PM and I catch my first bus towards the City around 3:39 (3:29 if I'm lucky) My train towards near where I live leaves at 4:15 and I catch a bus going home at 4:35. I get home at 4:45 so technically takes me an hour and 20ish minutes to get home compared to going to school which only takes me 15.

-sigh- First day of school after my Summer Vacation tomorrow... First time I'll be doing this routine in the last 2 months

In high school: About 15-20 minutes most of the time (mom worked next door so she'd drop us off most of the time), over an hour during those rare times I had to take the bus *shudder*

In college: I live on campus, so never more than a 15-20 minute walk... sometimes less than 5 minutes.

It takes me around 20-30 minutes, depending on the day and a few other things. I wake up at around 8:00 AM in the morning, which is very late. But my wakey-wakey time depends on the day before, kind of. I rush through going to the bathroom, putting food in my mouth, and changing into my uniform ..which all together takes around 25 minutes. I get to my stop at around 8:30 AM, almost always ..which is very late, again. My bus arrives as soon as I reach my stop, and then it's around a 15 minutes trip to my school. So, it takes me around 20-30 minutes overall, starting from when I leave from home.

About 25-30 minutes to walk from my house to college, which I'm quite pleased with. I don't want to have to drive and I loathe the bus.

I wake up around 6:30-7:00am, get dressed (I take my showers at night) and once everyone in the house is ready to go, we start dropping people. Because I am usually the last one to go, it's about a... 30-40 minute car ride to the college.

Once I learn how to drive I can drop the 'wait for family' and just drive off when I'm ready that or my mom will probably make me drop my siblings off.
