Your first shiny

My first shiny was in Crystal. A shiny Noctowl. Shame I lost that game :embarrass
 
The first shiny that I ever got was a Shroomish (now a Breloom). I don't recall it ever being shiny, because at the time I had just got Sapphire, and it was one of the first Pokemon I caught on that game. It wasn't until nearly 3 years later when I was about to start a new game and was transferring my Pokemon over that I noticed that it was shiny. I feel bad for not noticing, because I've seen 3 others since then, and wasn't able to catch them for one reason or another (one of them being the Weedle the old man catches in Fire Red).
 
Mine was in Leaf Green.

In the wild jungles of Africa The Safari Zone, I was hunting for a Wild Kangaskhan. This was a couple years ago, about 10 years after I started to play the games. Running through zone 2, I notice a Nidoran Male. At first, I though the screen was blurred or something, but the sparkles confirmed that it was, indeed, a shiny.

Unfortunately, being in the Safari Zone, I knew that the little guy could turn at any moment, making me lose the opputunity I'd been waiting for. I'd rate the intensity of trying to catch a legendary with my underleved pokemon. After what seemed like ages, I managed to catch the thing. Boxed, trained, and shipped over to HG, my Shiny Nidorino is one of my more prized pokes.
 
Heh, first shiny, eh? Back in the days when I got into shiny hunting, I was trying and failing at chaining. Then I found a good tutorial on YT, chained a Shinx, and got one around 45. I only got one shiny in that chain, but I was still happy.

I've found quite a few since then, and caught them all.
 
My first shiny was apparently a Jynx in Crystal. I caught it YEARS ago and then maybe a month or two ago I felt like bringing out the old Pokemon games and I was going through my Pokemon to see what all I had, since I forgot and I was looking at the stats of my Jynx and there was a star and I was like O.O and I brought it into battle and it went all shiny and I was so excited I squealed.
I also have a shiny Mudkip in HG but that was an event.
 
I'm not lucky enough yet for a random encounter... so had to chain my first shiny in plat which is a Male Ralts, and followed up a little later with a female ralts. Trying for a Marill for my GF now...
 
Only one I've gotten is from that um... odd egg thing back in Crystal. D;
 
my first shiny was in my very first pokemon game, Leafgreen. I had no other games, but I heard about shinies from the internet. I had a level 30 Primape and caught a shiny level 17 Mankey and boxed it, didnt want to train it all over. I tried to migrate all my Pokemon (including six level 100s) to Platinum a few years later and it didnt bring them, with the game I had, you couldn't migrate bcause it would destroy my Leafgreen game. It sucked because I lost my level 100s and my shiny Mankeyy.
 
My first ever shiny was in Pokemon Sapphire where I caught a Shiny Kecleon.

Since then I've caught a Shiny Carvanha in Pokemon Ruby and a Shiny Kricketune in Soul Silver.

I have a vague memory of encountering a shiny Rhyhorn/Rhydon in Pokemon Gold but I don't think I caught it since I didn't know what a shiny was at the time...I remember it had stars coming out of it...

I have other shinies too, but they weren't ones I caught myself.
 
I have still never encountered a shiny despite how many hours of my life I have devoted to playing all of the games. xD; Maybe one day. I would really love for the Eevee I receive to be a shiny. *U*
 
The first non-default shiny I ever encountered was Golbat on the original Silver Version, in the Ice Path. I didn't even see it sparkle nor did I notice it was a different color, so I clicked run. However, here's the funny thing: while I'm nearly certain the warning isn't even programmed into the game, I thought for sure I saw the message "You don't want to do that." Therefore, I threw a Poke Ball and caught it. I later looked at it in my PC and noticed it had 3 stars on the status screen, just like the shiny Gyarados. I later found out that it was one of these "shiny" Pokemon.

I ended up evolving it into Crobat, then I was all "ugh, pink..." lol
 
:0 Oh woah, I didn't know the game warned you not to run. That's creepy and awesome at the same time! xD haha

Never. Ever. And I've been playing since Gen I. Probably because of my horrible luck, and/or the fact that I don't play nearly enough.

You and me both. I have yet to see a legit one in the wild as far back as Gen 1 (red garados doesn't count!). I've hacked a couple recently just cause I've wanted one forevers and evers (they are not up for trade and am not going to do it for others). Congrats to all those that have been lucky, and keep at it for those (like myself) in finding them!
 
Excluding the Gyarados in G/S/C, my first shiny was a Whismur in Ruby. I rather foolishly evolved it into an Exploud, though...it was much cuter as a Whismur, with those poisonous green ears and brighter pink. It looked like one of those cherry drop sweets. xD
I should still have it somewhere...probably on my Diamond file. I don't trade my own shinies, since I've come across so few of them.
 
my first shiny was a Weedle in Fire red
i remember i was afraid to evolve it because i though he would turn back to normal :)
 
My first shiny was a random encounter shiny Drowzee that I caught in HeartGold. I remember exactly how it happened too and what makes it even more special, I caught her the day after I got my wisdom teeth out and I was home recuperating on my sofa all day. It totally made up for not being able to eat solid food for a couple days. XD
