[Detective Pikachu] Your Opinions on the CG Pokemon?

    How do you feel about the CG Pokemon in the Detective Pikachu movie, and which one is your favorite rendered in this style?

    I think the CG style was done right for this movie & I really hope they do something like this again at some point.

    My favorites (Treecko and Sneasel) got CG models in this movie, and I'm extremely happy about it, so bias opinion, but those were my favorite CG designs, oh, and Mr. Mime's was awesome, lmfao, especially during that movie trailer that came out awhile ago.
     
    I haven't seen the movie yet(I know... shame on me), but based on what I've seen, I actually really like the job they did on Charmander and Charizard. Bulbasaur wasn't bad either. So what if I have a Kanto bias :t037:
     
    Bulbasaur was the breakout 'mon of the movie, for sure. My friend even said it turned into his favorite Pokémon just because of how cute it was in the movie.

    I liked that they didn't botch Arcanine's design. The Torterra were also pretty impressive.

    Bulbasaur especially was super cute, however I do feel like the voice they gave them was not right. The Bulbasaur we know and love from the anime has a dry coarse baaaahlba saurr sound, and cute cooing doesn't really give off the same vibe at all. Bulbasaurs in the anime are cute but strong creatures. In the DP movie they were just super cute haha. Maybe that's ultimately alright though.
     
    Overall I liked how they were represented. I wanted more airtime for Ludicolo though. =(

    Bulbasaur was certainly a cute standout - agreed with the majority there.
