Like most people, I didn't know that this was possible in Pokemon Diamond, Pearl or Platinum. Even if I did, I probably wouldn't have done it because I think that they make the gyms in a certain order to give us a challenge and make sure we don't miss certain important items or events.

I've bought a copy of Platinum and it's still in its box. I want to wait till I've finished Diamond so I can take things one at a time.

Simple question really. When you first encounter Mespirit, it runs away and appears randomly in Sinnoh. What did you do? Decide to leave if until after you've defeated the elite four? Or try and catch it straight away.
