What is your favorite or most successful thread you have created here on PC? Are you terrible at making threads? Do you avoid threads all together?

For me it is my Generation 6 "wants" thread.

My thread about swearing had 56 replies.

    https://www.pokecommunity.com/threads/290237

Not too much. I did make a thread with 25k replies on Gearbox Forums and another one with 14k. I have a guide there with over 100k views and 400 or so replies. So that's more impressive I guess...

Edit: Oh, didn't notice the other to questions.

Are you terrible at making threads?

After a lot of experience on forums, I'd say no. I have a general idea of what makes a good thread, what makes it low content, and so forth.

    Do you avoid threads altogether?

No. I don't avoid them, but I stop myself from making a thread if I think there's something wrong with my OP or if the topic doesn't provide much to discuss, but I don't avoid them altogether.

Umm,tbh i didn't think that way before, what comes in my mind i try to find it around when i don't find it i just make a thread and discuss! i'm not very good at making thread titles and introduction i just say what comes to mind!

i guess my favorite threads are those ones in OT as i like fourms games..it's fun :3

This would have to be my most successful thread. 3000+ replies and still going strong!

I'm alright at making threads. The art of thread making isn't really that impressive to master. You just have to have something to talk about and start talking about it.

In OVP it's especially easy. All you have to do is think of a question that hasn't been asked recently :P

cbf'd looking, but probably most successful were Easter Egg Hunt (2011), Member of the Year (2011), PCX Event Volunteering/Suggestions (2012). I've had a lot of other successful ones (which I've forgotten right now!), but to me those ones stand out because they were important lmao. OH and probably some threads in B/W, I've had a lot of awesome ones there.

I love making threads I've made... a lot, and a lot of my post count is from making threads lool.

My most successful thread: I dunno there's probably one in here though.

Are you terrible at making threads: I would sure hope not, I tend to come up with ideas at the spur of the moment and not very often, creativity in making threads isnt a strong point of mine. I wouldnt say Im terrible at it, just that I lack ideas and creativity.

My most successful thread which was probably infamous was the: "Do you think that some of the Unova Pokémon don't even look like Pokémon?" It's because that it was my opinion centered on the Unova Pokemon compared to the others. It was posted 11 months ago and when I saw the first comments based off of what they should look like, I said nothing because I knew that it'll get rough. When I came back to it, I was surprised to see like 264 comments. I still want it to stay as an unlocked thread.

My most successful thread was this, the latest incarnation of the Gender Race in Other Trivia. I can't believe it's still going months after I created that thread.

It currently has a whopping 10,680 posts. And that's including my opening post.

However, most threads I make outside of that section usually end up going to the point of inactivity so yeah, I do fail at making threads, sometimes I can't even think up topics to discuss cos someone already made it (happens a lot in Other Voting Polls).

I make new threads whenever I'm wondering about something other people do. Though my most successful thread in the Community Supporter DCC with 2,281 replies, the thread I feel most accomplished at creating is the moderator guidelines thread in the staff forums, so that one is my favorite. (:

In terms of quality, definitely the "Things that just don't make sense. At all." thread about troll physics/psychology within Pokemon. I think my biggest thread was the "What DON'T you want to see in the new games?" thread that I made whilst Pokemon Black and White were being developed. More recently my best thread has probably been the one I posted on this forum asking what was on PC's mind 5 minutes before they saw the thread.

I tend to make threads spontaneously. It's more fun that way, at least for me it is.

Edit: Nope I just checked. One of my challenge threads was the longest I made, beating the BW thread by one reply.

I don't make too many threads here, but I'd say that my non-competitive Pokemon team thread is the Dream World art thread in the Black/White section.

The thread I'm most proud of is the short lived C&M Media Timeline (r.i.p, we hardly knew ye), a chronicle of what events the members of PokeCommunity felt was important in the world of media and what not. The release of Thriller, CNN being created, the death of Amy Winehouse etc. I loved it, but only a few other members did and after a month or two of no posts in the thread, but still with an impressive amount of submissions beforehand, I sent a PM to Jon asking him to expunge the thread's existence from the forum. With tears in our eyes, our failed lovechild was derezzed and destroyed. It was a truly great thread; unappreciated by those who should have worshipped it's existence.

I can't remember off the top of my head which thread of mine has the most replies/views, but I remember the original Accent Challenge garnering a quite impressive amount of views and replies,l something that every other incarnation of that thread has not been able to topple. Sorry, droomph! Your version of the Accent Challenge was just destined to fail! Upon checking as I typed this post, my thread had 57 replies and over 3000 views. Well done, I guess!

I don't start threads much, mainly because I fail at making threads, but my most successful thread so far would be my own resource shop.

Haven't had any successful threads on this account yet, but on my Meganium90 account...I think the first PokeCommunity Adoption Center thread was the first thread I made that became a success.

I tend to be very scared and very careful when making threads. I'm scared of getting them locked because they were duplicates. So, I ALWAYS use the search feature before making a thread. Plus, I always tend to put a bit of detail into the topic I want to ask, instead of outright ask. xD

My most successfull thread would have been an OVP or OC thread I made ages ago. "Do you h@te et when ppl tlk lyk dis?", or something on the lines of that! 8D

Not counting my fan fiction threads (because they really don't count) my most successful thread was entitled "I know now why you cry. But it is something I can never do." back in 2010, with 45 replies. Basically it was about how readily folks cry.

I'm not bad at starting threads, but I am lazy about it; hence I don't really start them too often. I'd much rather jump on existing threads and reply to them.

Not counting stickied threads, my most successful thread would be Hotel Florida, one of my old trade shops. It's very easy to amass posts in trade shops (I would have a HUGE thread if I stuck to one shop this whole time). So, not counting trade threads, my next successful thread would be the Sonic Club.

My favorite thread would be Mac's mod promotion thread the Trade Revamp thread. I just find it amazing to discuss feedback/comments with my regulars, whom I dearly love.

I wouldn't call myself terrible at making threads. I just.. don't often make threads, haha. Maybe it's out of shyness, or maybe it's because I can find many things to post in so I'm all good.
