Alright, so this is how we roll: I would like to know which were your favorite shows during the Spring season. This can be used as a guide for future anime watchers who wish to watch a show aired during Spring 2015 :) I will count votes for a couple of days and then I will edit the main post with the results!

    Time to vote!

    Some conditions:
    >>You can vote as many shows as you want, but only one vote per show.
    >>You cannot vote a show that started in a previous season and continues airing.

You can use this guide with the Spring season shows as a reference.

    FAQ:
Why don't you include a poll?
There are many many shows aired each season, the poll would be really long and neglect the idea of commenting your favorite shows.

I will add my votes in the next post so this one works as an introduction only.

    Update 1:
Votes will be accepted until July 8th 23.59p.m CST TIME!
    Update 2:
In case there are two series going for the first place with the same number of votes by July 8th, a new topic will be opened to decide the winner between those.
    Update 3:
    VOTES NO LONGER ACCEPTED.

    THIRD PLACE GOES TO...

  • Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Zoku - More fun than I expected.
Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu - Despite a lackluster feeling start, it got better and more interesting. Won't be done until partway through summer, though.
Shokugeki no Souma - This one surprised me and was insanely fun.
Danna ga Nani o Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken 2-sure-me - Fun and cutesy. Kinda like season one.

Never mind that these make up 2/3rds of the shows I managed to get caught up on/watch from the start for this season. These get my votes. The other two were fun, but lack of coherence kept them off my list.

  • Ha! My votes:

    Punchline (of course!)
    Kekkai Sensen
    Nisekoi:
Dan-Machi (I need the LN right now)
    Hibike! Euphonium (a.k.a Lesbonium)
    Hello! Kiniro Mosaic

I enjoyed UBW, but it doesn't deserve my vote in this case.

  • Hmm, best shows..?

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Zoku
You can't beat batman, really. Simple as that.
No, really. This series is so damn fantastic that I can't praise it enough. First season was fantastic in its own right but second season just elevated the series into my top faves of all time. It sits right up there with the heavyweights like FMAB, Gintama, Kaiji and the like in my fave list. That's a goddamn achievement if I've ever seen one. Makes this my show of the season, definitely.

    Shokugeki no Soma
This is cheating, actually. I'm a MASSIVE fan of the original source material so technically it is the manga that should deserve the credit not the anime. But bleh, the anime's been doing really well as well. They've managed to keep a lot of things from getting lost in translation from the medium shift and it has been a very enjoyable ride so far. Even though I'm already aware as to what awaits me next episode every week, I still enjoy it to the fullest because it is SO. DAMN. FUN.

I even watched two episodes with my sis today while she was starting the series. I wouldn't mind watching it all over again haha.

    Kekkai Sensen
Baccano! + stylish action by the studio that brought us FMAB + a little bit of Gintama what with the alien angle + crazy direction by Rie Matsumoto = An awesome show that stands out among the crowd. This is a crazy show that somehow managed to make sense and tell an intriguing story. I'm not terribly attached to any of the characters but it has been a very enjoyable ride so far. Also, it has the best ED this season tbh ;p

    Arslan Senki
I probably am the only one here who enjoys this as much as I do haha. A big fan of Arakawa's art. And then there's the political war drama that's been very interesting from the very first episode. It has managed to keep me interested for a while and the main character along with his group are all very likeable characters.

Honestly though, the mere presence of a bewitching beauty like Farangis sealed the deal for me as far as this show is concerned haha. Just look at her! (doesn't help the fact that I'm a Lust fan too. the one from FMAB, remember? her design is oh so similar!)

Well done adaptation, mostly. Volume 10 was rushed into the ground so that episode was incredibly disappointing but otherwise everything was done well. The animation focused a lot on the faces which left a little more to be desired about the rest of their body but it was still better looking than s1, even though I have a soft spot for the style s1 has. LN is still better (go read).
    Shokugeki no Souma
I probably wouldn't have watched it if I didn't decide to read the manga first, the first few episodes aren't a really good display of how good this series is. Once it reaches the first actual story arc that's when it starts getting good. I assume that if it keeps up this level of quality it'll continue being a great show. Not as pretty as the manga but that can't really be helped, it'd be asking too much. How they've adapted the few recent episodes has been superb. If you asked me whether to watch it based off the first few episodes I would've told you to either read the manga or not bother but they certainly turned that around on me.
    Hibike! Euphonium
I just watched it because one of my friends was as well, really good show. The story actually focuses on the band a lot which is a very welcome idea. Pleasing on the eyes, nice characters, good story, just a really consistently good show. I think it's probably my highest rated currently airing show on MAL atm, though since MAL doesn't use decimals you can't really tell. All aspects of the show (characters, story, animation, sound, etc.) are handled great.

Great adaptation. (Aside from the rushed beginning) I was clapping the whole time, not only for 80k but also for Studio Feel.

    Shokugeki no Souma
Not done yet, of course. We've yet to arrive at the best arc. This show really reflected how wonderful the source material was. It's always fascinating how a show about food can manage to make us so excited.

Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka
I mostly watched it just for laughs, but I looked forward to this every week. Bell is too delicious.

    Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo
This actually ended up being executed really well, which was pretty surprising. They wrapped it up nicely in the last episode.

    ---

Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku gets an honorable mention, but not a vote. (I only watched it because I loved the Vocaloid Project)

I didn't pick up on this one until there were already 12 episodes on crunchyroll, but that just made for an excellent marathon. I really like this one.
    Re-Kan!
This one is just adorable. Amami is way too nice.

I would also vote for Grisaia no Rakuen and Fate/stay night, but they're seasons three and two of the series, and I dunno if I can vote for those as Spring shows. If I can, then I vote for those two, too.

Hi! Thanks for voting, Both are considered Spring Season series. Rakuen started in April, and Fate's second season was aired during Spring as well. So those are valid votes :)

Great series that takes place in the stylistic gritty New York City that has bizarre otherwordly supernatural residents. I love the theme of having the city alienated from the rest of society and it's become a true melting pot of culture. Each character is shrouded in mystery and has one unique power. The main character has no combat ability, but holds a god's all seeing eyes that can change their world. I see elements of Gintama (plenty of voice actors are shared between these two series) and of Baccano so it is a classic already.

    Dungeon no Deai
Like the protagonist, this series has become the underdog. Characters show that looks are meant to deceive. The male lead hones his skills that leaves the audience now in awe, becomes in a position where he impresses the girl, and truly expands his horizons. The female lead shows she's a lot more sincere and caring that I first figured. It's a cute anime that is refreshing to watch every week.

  • I should clear up my Spring list but eh, these are my highlights.

    Kekkai Sensen
Pretty sure that if you haven't watched it, then either you haven't been influenced by our mod Risa or just have poor taste in general. This show is really entertaining to watch. Not many shows can manage to attract me so much and this did it.

    Punchline
Okay, the first 2 episodes kinda turned me off at the beginning... and blossomed into something worthwhile. Plus, how it ended for the anime is really bittersweet, and man I felt like I lost something after it ended. Not as much as Shigatsu, but it's there.

    Arslan Senki
Okay, I notice the show is rather slow, but let's put that aside when you got political strife, wars and such accurately portrayed throughout the show. Watching Arslan's character development is also nice, as well as the character interactions wih each other.

  • Spring was good.

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Zoku
Although, they went far and beyond in what I wanted adapted. I was happy with this whole production. Feel did a great job in adapting the main and big ideas, while making the overall show just gorgeous to watch. Pacing issues aside, this really was a great ride.

Fate stay/night: Unlimited Blade Works 2nd Season
This was everything I wanted in an adaptation for the UBW route. Plus, ufotable went the extra mile to add more content to give some fanservice to both fans of the extended materials (Luvia) and fans that most viewers can enjoy (Lord El-Melloi II). I wasn't really expecting ufotable to do Shirou's Answer justice, but well, they did. Last Stardust still gives me goosebumps.

    Hibike! Euphonium
I went in this with very sparse information on how band works and knew next to nothing about the source material. What did I come out with? Some finest animation done by Kyo-ani, adorable yuri teasing, and Asuka.

    NINJA SLAYER FROM ANIMATION
TRIGGER. SAVING THE INDUSTRY. ONE ANIME AT A TIME. (this is a joke, but this shit is still amazing)

Punchline - because Uchikoshi. And Pantsu.
Etotama - So many 4th walls broken. 3D animation was A+. Humour was great too.
Plastic Memories - Although there was a fair bit that was...bad about it. It pulled off the ending well. I teared up a bit. Definitely enjoyed it.
Shokugeki - So many food orgasms. Was hilarious. The food also looked amazing.
