I'm wondering: in the current lore of Yu-Gi-Oh!, is Yugi still the best duellist of all times?
Also, have they adapted to anime the part of the manga in which Yugi and Kaiba and others are priests in ancient Egypt and they summon monsters from stone tablets?
... Sorry I got carried away by nostalgia XD

I have bought a Switch yesterday and it came in today...
Is it one of those new OLED models they recently released?
Not sure if I would recommend that game, though. I bought it, played a couple duels in the "story mode" until I ran into a bug. And then I realized that Konami doesn't care about updating their games on the Switch and I haven't touched it since.

The last season of Duel Monsters deals with the pharao's past. After that every arc of the show has a different protagonist (and setting). Though, occasionally they like to bring him back for like an episode. Not sure if he's still considered the best. The series has kind of moved on from these things. Though, I haven't seen much from newer series (I barely remember a couple episodes from 5Ds)

Why buy something on the Switch when you can have it on PC?! :O

The last thing I remember is students from a university, and the protagonist abused fusions of comic-like superheroes. XD
I also heard there was something with motorcycles after that, but I had already moved on.

Pretty sure with all the new mechanics and the inconsistency of his cards... he will still pull some magic out of his arse :')
He probably still has his "I'm the Main Character" trap card?

Convenience or force of habit, mostly. There are a lot of people who really like to play their games in the Switch's handheld mode.

While I've never really used the handheld mode of the Switch, I actually rather prefer playing games on a handheld console. Most of my childhood was spend that way. Actually, I did have my own PC phases, though. Used to play games like Gothic 1&2 and Morrowind or the KOTOR games, as well as tons of emulated games and later on RPG Maker games.

However, especially nowadays I just like picking up a handheld and play stuff while having a video running in the background.

GX came after Yugi's story and was all about students on an island university and a protagonist who really liked his Elemental Heroes deck. 5Ds came after that and featured a lot of battles on motorcycles. Afaik since then there have been like at least three more shows, one of them including some alternative universe stuff.

Don't forget to count Empress 😉

Put me down as one that simply prefers consoles to PC. In turn I prefer handhelds to consoles. They're just my thing!

I don't really play console at all anymore. Last time was when my brother had an XBOX360 which red-ringed at some point, many years ago by now.
I've always been more into handhelds when I'm not on PC/laptop =3

I have two laptops basically for this purpose :P

The last console I had was the XBox 360. Not because of "PC masterrace" but because I knew I would spend the next years moving from a place to another, possibly from a country to another, and moving a console is not an easy thing because you also need a TV ^^"
Also I almost don't care about Nintendo games so I didn't want to buy a NDS / 3DS / and so on.

I've mostly retired my consoles. I still have games I wanted to play, but nowadays I really need to be in the mood for doing so. Well, I while ago I picked up one of those retro handheld consoles that have been floating around for a while. They're basically just small emulation machines. Definitely fun to mess around with.

On the contrary, it makes sense to me: smartphones can do whatever you want, including run videogames + you don't want to hold a handheld console AND your smartphone everytime you take the bus. Only one device is enough to keep you busy ^^

There's a reason why the mobile game market is as successful as it is. Being able to play games on the same device you can use to chat with other people or randomly look up stuff and all the while still being small enough to fit in a pocket quite easily; it is very convenient. However, taking aside that the mobile market makes heavy use of predatory design decisions, I really don't like touch based gameplay. When you spend most of your life pushing buttons it's very awkward to suddenly have to do stuff directly on the screen.

There also exist some emulators that allow old games to be played on a smartphone by providing overlays as a replacement for buttons. But it just feels incredibly wrong to me, tbh.

I'm aware, however, that I am part of a very small minority in that regard. :(

I've yet to play a game on any mobile phone I had.
It does not appeal to me whatsoever.
Then again I'm a person who barely uses their phone at all in the first place so....

    You're not alone!

Phone emulators are a bizarre thing for me. I always thought "wow it would be so cool to play Crystal (or other random game) on my phone" in reality it wasn't the experience I was expecting.
