Emerald hack: Pokémon Spirit Emerald

Dark types get hit by Psychic type moves,
Physical/Special Split doesn't work correctly,
Multiple crashes when looking at custom items.

Apart from that it's a pretty good hack :s

I've played a little bit in this game and I'm not really enjoying it, here's what I've found in the game that you forgot to-do. (Screenshots were taken from 1.13, but these are still in 1.2)

• Change the Egg's type to Normal, Since ??? replaces Fairy-type.

• Some Gen. IV Pokémon's sprites are in their wrong possition like Combee and Chingling.
  
  
  

Also, I would recommend the starters should be an Egg from a NPC, something like in Emerald Omega and Sigma Σmerald, and a Decap to polish up the hack would be nice.

I experienced that as well. I just went ahead with the patching, the patcher gives you an option to ignore errors. From what I can tell, the patch applied successfully. I've only experienced the same bugs others in this thread have reported.

I patched and it said "patching was susessful"

then I went and opened it with YAPE(a pokemon editor) to change Treeko type to grass/fairy and changed his ability to test it out and both didnt worked.

ah and its normal that the sprites don't move like the original emerald did?

Good hack! I'm having fun playing it!
However, it would be nice if you could implement decapitalization so that menus, pokemon names, items etc are not shouting at you. The ability to use running shoes indoor should also be added.
Also...one more question, where do I find the shiny stone? The documentation says it's on Route 110 but I can't find it anywhere, at least in the areas accessible before obtaining surf.
Edit: Another weird thing that I found is that...psychic moves were able to damage Stunky, even though it's part-dark type. Not sure if this is intended or it is a glitch...
Also, for the documentation on wild locations...wouldn't it be better to group wild encounters by route with the percentage of each pokemon appearing, instead? Cause some players might want to see what pokemon is available in a particular route, instead of looking through long list of pokemons. Regarding the documentation on important trainers, it would be nice if more information could be included, E.G their teams complete with movesets for each of their pokemon, hold items, etc. Information about Aqua and Magma leaders, and the rival should also be included.

I'm currently playing this hack and I must say it is very enjoyable. The cries of 4th gen pokèmon sound very well, and many of the new or updated moves work correctly, and I always approve when some weaker pokèmon get revamped so they can be useful. In general, although I haven't finished it yet, It's a hack I would recommend to those who want to experience a revamped Hoenn without having to steer too much from the original Emerald.

There are some things I didn't appreciate, but it's more for personal taste rather than lack of effort, so I won't even talk about them. It's just a couple of minor things that don't ruin the experience.

I found a couple of errors while playing, for example there's an item ball on Route 113 (on Slateport side) which freezes the game when you try to interact with it. (This may be only my problem, I don't know.) Also, there are some minor mistakes with type effectiveness: Dark types are no longer immune to Psychic type moves, and do not resist Ghost type moves, while Fire type doesn't resist Fairy type moves. The move Sucker Punch acts exactly like Fake Out, meaning that it hits only in the first turn and makes the opponent flinch. And lastly, the hiker that gives you the Egg near Rustboro Gym reappears at some point. If it can help, I'm playing the normal version, not the Challenge one.

I hope you keep up the good work, this is a great hack and you really did a great job doing this :)

Hello! I really like this idea and hack! :D
I would like to ask a few things :

1. What are your future plans for this? will you add ALL the moves till Gen VI and abilities?
2. Are the stat-changes AND move-set learning according to official Gen VI or are these changes by yourself? (also does these apply to all 494 of them?)
3. Is there a similar counter-part for Fire Red? Like same movesets, abilities, items, 494 pokemons.. etc?

I see on YouTube that people are doing Nuzlocke's of this game. I just, can't believe that my Emerald 494 patch has made such an impact, even though I can do so much better. I've played through this game, caught everyone, including a shiny Sunkern, and it was such a fun experience. But, it needs more. More moves, more abilities, over 600 Pokémon, that would be awesome! Maybe, I may do an Emerald 650 patch one day ;)

Hey, im really glad that this is my first Pokemon Hack ever played and it's really amazing so far. I've been playing it in my Phone so I can feel like im using a gameboy or something.

I got a problem though (Ppl already mentioned it). When you try to select the Shiny Stone the game crashes and I need it to evolve my Togetic. There is a way to solve this problem or my Togetic will be Togetic forever?

Um actually you can get a Shiny Stone. Three of them in fact. Here are the locations:
Shiny Stone -- Route 112
Shiny Stone -- Meteor Falls
Shiny Stone -- Route 110


Edit: I just saw the post above yours. I can't tell if you're asking for the location of the stone or how to get a Togekiss because of the crashing, so I'm gonna leave this post here.

You could probably use the Gen 3 Hacking Suite, or G3HS for short, to edit the game to change togetic's evolution method to level up or something. I'm not sure, however, but it's worth a shot. Although you might want to backup your rom in case G3HS breaks something.

I don't know if this was intended or not, but some trainers on the Challenge mode patch of Spirit Emerald have Pokemon that are way higher leveled than they need to be at that point, will you please fix it?
