  • I think draw would be the best bet, since there wouldn't be win/loss affect to bad

  • - Somehow find a time that you two can agree on.
    - I can give you two a draw.
    - I can take the the 3 people who lost their match + me, and reshuffle the pairs giving them a second chance, and you guys a new pairing. The problems being 1) the match winners may feel salty about their pairs getting a second chance, 2) timezones could still present a problem.

I think the first option still seems possible, but it'll just take a bit more patience. Hopefully they'll work something out!

I'm not in favor of the third option unless this was a Round Robin (where there would be no reason to feel salty), but a Round Robin would make time zones even more of a hassle, so bleh.

Whoever is having the hardest time finding time to duel could possibly be paired with me.

Don't forget how long our practice duel took on the first round alone. xD Then again, it could've been the match-up's fault, so I don't really know haha.

    Stardust Chronicle Spark Dragon
LIGHT Dragon / Synchro / Effect
    LV10 3000/2500
1 Tuner Synchro Monster + 1 or more non-Tuner Synchro Monsters
Must be Synchro Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. (1) Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can banish 1 Synchro Monster from your Graveyard; until the end of this turn, this card is unaffected by other card effects. (2) If this card is destroyed by your opponent (either by battle or card effect): You can target 1 of your banished Dragon-Type Synchro Monsters; Special Summon it.

This... is surprisingly decent? The first effect is pretty darn good because you're absolutely guaranteed to be able to use it twice, along with the fact that Synchrons can fill up the grave with Synchros really quickly. However, the second effect is absolutely useless... Synchrons/Stardust Warrior/Quasar decks don't even run Dragon-type Synchros outside of Quasar itself (or Shooting Star, who wouldn't be properly summoned). Only a tiny amount of such decks actually run Stardust/Scrap Dragon for level coverage, and it'll rarely ever be in the grave, meaning the floating effect is far, far inferior to Stardust Warrior's. However, because the first effect is too good to pass up, I might consider taking out my Shooting Star Dragon to run this thing, because there are times when this card would be infinitely more practical than Stardust Warrior. (Though it'll feel riskier leaving out Quasar to die, so this is gonna be a tough choice.)

But..I still run Stardust Dragon lol.

I'm obviously garbage at the Quasar plays, but stuff like Plants can go Stardust/Hot Red/etc. + Formula into this thing. Assuming you're banishing for the first effect, the second effect shouldn't be too hard to utilize.

  • Oh... the Plant engine. xD I haven't seen that around in ages, but yeah I'm sure things would probably work out in that build too. And in fact I actually do run Stardust Dragon myself (so I could go into manual Shooting Star during emergencies), but the pure Synchron engine rarely ever sees generic level 8 plays haha.

At least this card is still miles better than Sifr, though. Don't get me wrong - Sifr's effect is actually really good in itself, but that means almost nothing when its effect doesn't come close to living up to its summoning condition, especially when there's no incentive to run it in place of Quasar.

I've seen you make Beelze a couple times though.

And I'm starting to get all of the Stardust monsters mixed up haha.

  • Oh, that was actually my (non-Quasar) Accel Turbo build, which is meant to summon powerful generic Synchros via Accel Synchron, since removing all of the Quasar fodder frees up SO much space in the Extra Deck hahaha.

But now that you mention it, Stardust Chronicle would probably be even stronger in my non-Quasar build, though summoning Beelze usually results in a dead end for the combo, so I would need to stall to get out a Formula or a second Accel Synchron.

Oh man, off the top of my head I don't know either of those cards lol. All I know was that it was crazy consistent.

In other news, with CORE out in the OCG, I came across an interesting graphic:
    Spoiler:

Didn't realize Heroes were that big.

Heroes and Nekroz are more favorable in player's deck. Well it's basically common thing in meta these days

I've seen Heroes being played, they just haven't been faring very well, on the TCG side at least. Pretty sure they have Shock Master though, and of course Cyber Dragon Infinity. And Construct is banned, so Shaddolls aren't doing much.

I'm 100% sure they have shock master, I'm just glad construct and CDI is banned.

Blame Jaden for the increased HERO usage

I went against the Nekroz AI deck in YGOPro and I can understand why almost everyone hates them because of their incredible recycling power. Personally, I think Dragon Rulers were more annoying; they were the bane of my existence before the Forbidden/Limited lists got rid of the deck type.

And speaking of deck types, what does everyone here think of the U.A.s? I'm starting to make a deck on them. I've got the bare bones of the deck down, even though it's missing some cards. Should I post what I have here?

U.A.s are such a pain to face lol. But they're definitely one of those sleeper decks that could easily catch you off guard (haha sports pun sort of). I'm not the most familiar with the deck, but I could try to pitch in on your build.

CDI isn't banned as far as I know.

Like I said, this deck is only half-complete:

    Monsters:
    -U.A. Midfielder (2x)
    -U.A. Mighty Slugger (2x)
    -U.A. Perfect Ace
    -U.A. Blockbacker
    -Spell Striker
    -Re-Cover
    -D.D. Warrior Lady
    -Cardcar D

    Spells:
    -U.A. Stadium
    -U.A. Powered Jersey (2x)
    -The Monarchs Stormforth
    -Terraforming (2x)
    -Reinforcement of the Army (2x)

    Traps:
    -Compulsory Evacuation Device
    -Solemn Warning
    -Bottomless Trap Hole

    Extra:
    -Naturia Barkion
    -Number 39: Utopia Beyond
    -Photon Strike Bounzer
    -Shark Fortress
    -Number 61: Volcasaurus
    -Goyo Guardian
    -Crimson Blader

    Notes:
-I need 1 more Midfielder, 1 more Perfect Ace, 2 more Stadiums, 1-2 more Stormforth, Turnover Tactics and 1 more Blockbacker (should I add 1 more Blockbacker?)
-It's still missing the Crossed Souls U.A. cards, so if I get them, I'll add them
-Playmaker and Goalkeeper would be nice to have, but some people don't use them, so I'm fine if I don't get them
    -Considering 1 more Re-Cover
-Don't have Emergency Teleport at all.
-This deck was built with whatever cards I could use

Re-Cover and Spell Striker don't seem to have much synergy with the deck. If you were going to do a Psychic Tuner with E-Tele, I'd recommend Ghost Ogre and Snow Rabbit, but I realize it's pretty dang expensive to get. E-Tele are pretty expensive too, and could be pretty dead in U.A.

Playmaker doesn't seem all that good imo.

Some of the new CROS stuff if pretty good, especially the Spell and Trap, so definitely want those.

Spell Striker provides quick Tribute fodder for the level 5-6 U.As (and the level 7 U.A.s if I use Stormforth), but if I get an extra Stormforth or two, or possibly Mischief of the Gnomes, I'll take it out.

Re-Cover also provides a Synchro Material for the Naturias (that + Midfielder = Beast if I somehow it, or Re-Cover + Slugger/Ace = Barkion). If I happen not to get Beast (I only have Barkion), I'll get rid of that too. I don't have Emergency Teleport at all, as I already mentioned, so if I get lucky and pull out Ghost Ogre and Snow Rabbit from Crossed Souls, I'll add it, even if it means not having E-Tele.
