    I watched Hall Pass a few nights ago, and I thought it was pretty good. Not my favorite type of movie, but I felt like watching something light so even though I forgot most of it by the next day it was still enjoyable.

    Megamind. Seeing trailers for the Minion movie reminded me of how I had preferred Megamind over Despicable Me, and I was like, well, I haven't watched that movie in quite a while, why not rewatch it? So I did.

    I still think it's an enjoyable movie.

    I JUST finished watching Bend it Like Beckham. I haven't seen this movie in a long time, so I thought I'd watch it. It's actually a really good movie though. It's in no way associated with Beckham himself though. It's about an indian girl who's a pro at soccer (which they call football like some do). I'm terrible at explaining things, so your best bet is to look it up. ^^;

    Guardians of the Galaxy again.

    Saw it in the cinema when it was released, last night was the first time i've sat and re-watched it fully. I stick with my original opinion; a very decent film, but certainly not the 'BEST FILM EVAAAH'.

    I saw that film a while ago. I agree, it was a very good movie and I would never have seen it except by accident. It's a good modern noir film.
    that's with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, right? ever since I watched Mysterious Skin I've been waaay more interested in him: gonna have to actually watch Brick sometime now.

    as for the last movie I watched, it was Adventureland, which was a surprisingly poignant yet entertaining coming-of-age dramedy thing that I loved. the soundtrack was Very Indie which of course gets points in my book. I have a weird soft spot for Jesse Eisenberg so, again, more points in this film's favor. I'm glad this was not Superbad Volume 2 which is what I was afraid of. it was not. I am content.

    Fury (2014)

    Not the best war drama I've ever seen but still very good and original in that it's about tank warfare and isn't your traditional take on WWII war drama.

    The last notable film I've seen would be Nightcrawler with Jake Gyllenhaal. This is a gorgeously shot film with some great, nuanced performances. I loved what Gyllenhaal did with the character, including all of the physical quirks he put into the character. As an actor i really appreciated the work he put in. With that being said this was a really dark and slimy film. I felt like taking a shower afterward.

    weird, just watched this last night! everything you said about it I agree with. it's a weird diversion from Gyllenhaal's usual style, but it makes perfect sense to me -- he's trying to establish himself as more... legitimate, I guess? but yeah, what really struck me about this film where his eyes. they don't look human. which is good, considering what it's going for. very powerful film, and very thoughtful & complex. I don't really have much to say about it for once!

    His eyyyyeeess! Yes. That's a good catch. I was reading an interview with Gyllenhaal and apparently they shot his scenes in such a way as to limit the times you ever actually see him blink. His appearance is supposed to give off a 'Coyote' vibe. Desperate, hungry, and willing to do anything.
