It's a game. It didn't get an anime adaptation, unfortunately.

megaman, don't worry too much about knowing the source material for any of the mafia games here. While it is true that sometimes knowledge of the material can help you figure secret roles and powers, generally that's more of an exception than a rule.

The Cogs Of Fate

"You will come to understand…This is our curse! The gears of fate that grant the curse and bind upon us an armor of death. It's a key and a lance that pierces space and time. Souls encircled that bring out the void. The branches of history reach out to infinity!"

These were the words that echoed through Ludger's head as he took his Spirius Entrance exam. It was a big day for Ludger, as he would finally fulfill his dream of working as an agent at the Spirius Organization, just like his older brother Julius. But those words he heard in his dream...what did they mean? While he could have dismissed it as just another ordinary dream, Ludger had a bad feeling about it. As if something terrible was about to happen...as if a clash between two great powers was about to take place. As Spirius' newest agent, he would soon find out the true nature of what Spirius does. And indeed, the true nature of world in which he lived, and those that lie beyond it...

Elsewhere, a young girl and her father's home was being raided by a group of masked assassins who were bent on putting an end to the man's life. They ran down a corridor, dodging a spray of bullets that was unleashed upon them by their assailants. "Elle, wait right there!" He said as he gave her a pocket watch. "Elle, you need to get on the ten o'clock train leaving from Triglyph Central Station. From there, head to the Land of Canaan. It's a place where any wish can be granted. It's a place where you and I can finally live in peace." Elle ran for the dock and jumped on the nearest boat she could find. All she could hear was the sound of gunshots as she drifted off and away from her home.

And so the search for the Land of Canaan was on. A place that could grant any wish. Chronos sat and observed, unimpressed with the humans and their petty struggle. "Hmph. You pathetic humans are beyond redemption. You're not worthy to even approach the Land of Canaan. I promise you, the cogs of fate shall not turn in your favor!"

Day 1

The Strength to Protect

It was an eventful night for the Spirius Corporation. Aware of the dangers imposed upon them by Chronos, the agents took various measures to defend their friends from his inevitable wrath. Muz?t created a dimensional rift between two agents, anticipating an attack on one of them. Leia stayed hot on the trail of one particular operative, hoping to find evidence that he was one of the catalysts. Jude stood watch over another individual, ready to bring them back to full health should any harm befall them. Meanwhile, Ludger received a phone call from Nova. As per usual, Nova just chatted away and made puns about collecting Ludger's debt. Ludger wasn't amused by her rantings, but just as he was about to hang up on her, she confided with him a very important piece of information that would no doubt prove useful for their mission...

Elsewhere, a kitten had found a shiny object in the middle of the town square and scurried back to bring it to Elle.

But the agents of Spirius weren't the only ones taking action. Chronos had decided upon his first target. His contempt for humans was strong...but he had a particularly strong contempt for Spirius and all who keep it operating. It was his pleasure to take out one of the very men who ran Spirius itself. With the snap of his finger...the Director himself was killed--this time even Elize's Pixie Circle wasn't enough to save him.

JohnnyMustang is dead. He was an Agent of Spirius.
