A Bit of Lore
All was quiet after the Omnic Crisis. The Omnics had been defeated, and Overwatch came out on top. People all over the world, both human and Omnic, managed to find peace. The members of Overwatch got to bask in the glory of victory.But not for long.
Once Overwatch's black ops branch - Blackwatch - was exposed, Overwatch were no longer considered the heroes that they were after the Omnic Crisis. Because of Blackwatch and their corruption, assassinations and breaches of human rights, governments saw Overwatch as a threat, so Overwatch was shut down.
When the terrorist group Talon attempted to raid Watchpoint: Gibraltar, an old Overwatch base, they were foiled by Winston, who called out to all the old members of Overwatch. Now they fight against Talon, as well as someone who was once one of their own.
Who knows, maybe if Gabriel was promoted to commander of Overwatch instead of being cast away into the darkness of Blackwatch, then Overwatch wouldn't have to deal with this mess.
What is this game?
This is a standard game of Mafia with three factions. The first faction is Overwatch, the "innocents" or "uninformed majority." Overwatch wins the game by eliminating all of the members of the mafia faction, Talon. Talon is the "informed minority," and their goal is to kill members of Overwatch until the number of Talon members is equal to or greater than the number of living Overwatch members. The third faction is the Omnics, or the "third party" roles. These roles have their own win conditions.There will be two phases, the Night Phase and the Day Phase. During the Night Phase, this thread is considered locked so no-one can post here, however the members of Talon and of Zenyatta's cult may talk in their respective Discord chats during the Night Phase. The Mafia will decide who they want to kill during the Night Phase, and some roles also have actions they can use during the Night Phase. When the Day Phase begins, the Night actions will be resolved and you can begin discussing who should be eliminated for being dirty Talon scum. During the Day Phase, players can place votes for people they think should be eliminated, as well as use rocket launchers (guns) that will kill people dead. Hopefully. At the end of the Day Phase, the person with the most votes will be eliminated, and the Night Phase begins again.
Day Phases will last 48 hours and Night Phases will last 24 hours, unless I say otherwise.
Overwatch
Wins by eliminating all Talon members.Civilian - Vanilla Townie
Civilians are members of the general population that Overwatch has sworn to protect. They have no night actions, but they still have the power to vote because this is a democracy, dammit!
Soldier: 76 - Vigilante
"I've got you in my sights."
Formerly known as Jack Morrison, Commander of Overwatch. He has taken matters into his own hands, and wants to find those responsible for the downfall of Overwatch. Every night, Soldier:76 may choose a player to eliminate.

Torbjörn - Blacksmith
"Come get your armour."
Torbjörn was one of the original members of Overwatch. Nobody loves armour more than he does (well, apart from maybe Reinhardt.) Every night, Torbjörn can give another player some armour, which protects them from night kills and from rocket launchers.

This genetically engineered gorilla is responsible for the reformation of Overwatch. Every night, he can choose a player to investigate and determine whether that player is an Overwatch member, Talon member or an Omnic.

A former test pilot for Overwatch who suffers from chronal disassociation. Winston designed the chronal accelerator to allow her to keep her physical form, as well as giving her cool blinking powers. She can use these powers to follow another player at night, learning who they visit.

Ana - Sheriff

Ana was a founding member of Overwatch who was long presumed dead. Once during the game, during a Day Phase, she can choose to shoot her Biotic Rifle. This eliminates her target, however it publicly reveals her role.

Ana's daughter always looked up to Overwatch, aspiring to be one of them. Every night, Pharah can choose to give another player a rocket launcher. That player can then use the rocket launcher during the Day Phase to eliminate another player. These rocket launchers have a 50% chance to reveal their user.

Everything can be hacked, it turns out. Sombra can give a player either hacked armour or a hacked rocket launcher every night. Hacked vests do not protect their owners, and hacked rocket launchers will eliminate the user.

Widowmaker - Strongman

She was reprogrammed by Talon to be a sleeper agent, taking out her husband, who was an Overwatch member. Once per game, she can ensure that the night kill hits its target despite any protection from Mercy, Reinhardt, or Torbjörn's armour. She must carry out the night kill in order to do this.

Now that Bastion has awakened, he wants to find his purpose in life. Once per game, during the night, he can choose the role of any dead player and assume that role. He will be able to use their action and their win condition will be his new win condition. The other players will be told which role Bastion has taken in the following Day Phase post, but this will not reveal which player is Bastion.

Zenyatta - Cultist

Zenyatta is an Omnic monk who preaches peace and tranquility. Every night, he can choose a player to recruit. That player joins Zenyatta in a Discord chat and they become peaceful, losing their previous alignment and role. Zenyatta and all of his followers win if the number of peaceful players is greater than the number of non-peaceful players. If Zenyatta dies, all of his followers will also die.

2. To vote for someone, your vote should be formated as [Lynch] Name, although you can substitute other words for lynch, like "kill", "shoot" or "eliminate", if you like. Unbolded votes may be ignored.
3. Not voting for two day phases in a row will result in your untimely death. Alternatively, if there are willing replacements, you will be replaced by another player.
4. Do not share your PMs, although you may share the information contained within them.
5. Once you have been killed, you are dead and may not post in the thread again, although you are permitted to have one death post that does not communicate any game-relevant information.
6. Posting at night results in spontaneous explosion.
7. Abstains are not allowed. You must vote for someone.
8. In the event of tied lynch votes, a coin toss determines who dies.
9. All night actions should be sent to me (NightKrow) via PM or Discord DM.
