Pokemon Gaia is definitely one of the best hacks I've played for sure, and I've played many!
A few issues so far, however, and I apologize if they have been answered already.
I caught the Clefairy from the Secret Shrine in the Cave, but whenever I have him use Metronome, it freezes the game! :( thankfully I save often.
Is pick-up always supposed to give a super potion?
Is every hit supposed to be a critical hit?
Another is that the game's audio is quite choppy and glitchy, is this a problem in game or on my end somewhere?

The Metronome bug seems strange as I haven't been able to recreate it myself. It may be a patching issue or that you are playing on an older ROM; nevertheless, it is not an issue in my private build so as far as I know it should be fixed for v3 when it's released.
Similarly, Pickup has been revamped for v3 and will now behave like Emerald (with a scaling system that gives better items the higher the level of the Pokémon).
If every move is a critical hit and you're not using Storm Throw or Frost Breath, then no, that isn't intentional, and, again, it sounds like you've patched an old or incorrect version of the ROM if that's happening. The same applies for the audio issues.
Remember to only ever use patches you find in this thread.
So I finally got around to playing this and this is nothing short of spectacular (granted, I'm not all the way through yet.)
The music for the Elder Knights is super impressive and I actually had to pause playing so I could just sit back and listen to the music. I'm delighted that it seemed to fit Pokemon really well.
Honestly, just about everything is impressive here. The maps, the tiles, the scripting...it's all very professional and the hard work you put into this is increasingly evident the more I play.
There's just a couple of tweaks I'd make here and there, like maybe requiring that you do Nina before going up to the temple, so it'd make more sense to let your rival take you back to that one town. Also, maybe adding another Sage before the temple might help with quality of life, as walking all the way back to the Pokemon Center in town is a bit annoying.
Those are really my only criticisms, and it could just very well be that I'm missing something.
I can see why this is such a well regarded hack and it absolutely deserves any and all hype that it gets.

I just made an account 5 minutes ago to ask a question (I'm new to forums in general). Budew requires day time to evolve right? When do I know when it's daytime? Is it always daytime? As for increasing the happiness Budew has, where can I find luxery balls / a soothe bell?
No, Gaia does not have a day-and-night system, so Budew instead just evolves from ordinary Friendship. You are given a Soothe Bell after finding Stinga, the Weedle lost in Archan Tunnel.

Is there a bike somewhere I missed? I suppose it doesn't matter on a FR hack given running shoes are just as fast, but it seems odd I haven't seen it by badge 5.
The absence of the Bicycle was an oversight that has been addressed in v3. It will be available in Aerous City, and you will get a Bike Voucher after defeating Nina.
Is the bug catching contest supposed to be rigged the first time? I tried using savestates and it was always the same result with different point totals regardless of catch.

I really like how, for lack of a better term, professional, this hack feels. No random memes or swearing (except one female swimmer between Sabulo and Valoon) and the dialog does feel quite like a real game. There's also a lot of itemfinder items, which a lot of romhacks skip.
One thing I'd change is that an NPC should be added to the Rival's place in the department store after gym 5 telling the player he went to the game corner. The event there just kinda happens and there's no reason to expect it to have a critical scene now.

The events in Telmurk City have been restructured, so this will not be an issue anymore, but I appreciate that criticism and agree that it was a poorly structured sequence.

I have found a bug that pokemon with poison heal still get hurt by poison outside of battle (the thing where your screen blurs every few steps when there is a poisoned pokemon in your party). This also happens to pokemon with Magic Guard.
The Shedinja evolution method has been fixed for v3, but is indeed bugged in the latest public release.
The Substitute Move Tutor has actually been removed in the current update, as the only move tutors will now be the Shard tutors.
The Protect TM, TM17, isn't available yet.

Hey, great game but I'm encountering a glitch in the Battle Marsh while surfing. As soon as I enter a battle/open a menu screen, my ride pokemon disappears and I'm unable to exit the water. I saw someone else have this issue but not sure if it's been resolved? I unfortunately don't have an earlier save to jump back to
This has been fixed for v3. In the mean time, I recommend using a GameShark code of some sort to get yourself out. Sorry about that.

I created an account on this board just to post here ( I had already been frequenting this thread for information that I needed about the game), and I have to say, this is by FAR the greatest ROM hack I have ever had the pleasure of playing. It is incredible in every aspect, from the dialogue to the variety of accessable Pokemon species! In fact, I have MULTIPLE teams of Pokemon that I pick and choose from for specific tasks that need accomplishing throughout my adventure. This is probably my favorite thing about your game, mostly because I haven't ever played a Pokemon game, ROM hack or not, where I have such a wide variety of partners to train and battle with. I absolutely love it.

Anywho, I am currently stuck in a bit of a rut due to the fact that trainers I defeat no longer shell out any cash for defeating them... I want to continue playing but J am quickly running out of healing items and Pokeballs (and I have made it a priority to capture every new Pokemon I encounter, both in order to fill up my 'Dex and to add to my ever growing collection of battle partners), so I don't want to continue until I know of a possible fix, if there even is one. I am really hoping there is because as I stated above, I LOVE THIS GAME!
If you see this then please get back to me with a way to fix it, and if not, I patiently await the next update (I hope it's coming soon!). Great job on this game again, you deserve an award for it haha

Hey, this romhack is super fun, and it does a really good job of feeling like a normal Pokémon game. I found a very small bug when using Cut from the party menu to cut grass; certain tiles change appearance to what they normally shouldn't. Here's a screenshot:

Heyo, guys! This is an amazing hack so far, but I was just wondering where you could find a Zangoose? I want to trade it for this Spiritomb.
Zangoose can be found in Nemesis River's tall grass.
I love this game. But so far I have encountered two problems.
* I would have like for the HMs to be modified so that they are useful
* The ****ing Iron Golem riddle is assuming imperial units which is so ****ing alienating for 95% of the world...
Apart from that, very polished game! Good job!
I don't plan to change HMs for the next release, but if I do I will likely end up replacing them altogether with a system similar to the Poké Ride in Sun and Moon.

I have played many really great rom hacks and I gotta say this is the best rom hack there is right now. I hope v3 will be finished soon but even if it is not this year I will wait and if the devs have time enough to make it high quality then it's worth it.
Still really great job as someone who wants to learn rom hacking I am a big fan and get inspiration by games like those.
I would love to express better chosen words of gratitude but english isn't my native language so that's the best I could do

anyone knows how can i can teach Heracross rock blast?
I tried to breed Heracross with dwebble (who knows rock blast)
but when the egg hatched it didn't know rock blast..
(I even got Mega-Hercaross from one egg w/o need to mega evolve it.. maybe a bug)
The issue with Mega Pokémon hatching their Mega form is a known bug that has been fixed for v3. As for Heracross getting Rock Blast, I think you may be breeding wrong. Remember that only Egg Moves are only passed down by the father, so your need to be breeding with a Male Dwebble and a Female Heracross.

Waiting for another update. This game looks way too awesome and makes you feel like a genuine ruin maniac or archaeologyst. Or treasure Hunter with the story and rewarding exploration wich is a huge plus because i love to make themed teams and setting apart from the same goal of becoming the champion.
