  • yus. so much better. Even I feel so much better already. I was up at 5 am adding the code in, had a bit of time to do so before heading off to work. Although the links on the bottom are vertically lined, in which the <p> code is to blame once agaaaain. >___< I'm not bothered by that, really, but if anyone says something about it or if you want me to get them lined up, I'll do so :D

    & you're welcome. Always around to help!~

OH BTW, call me Megan xD
oh dear. slight coding fail @ forum splash. xP I'll send you the edited version tonight after my night class. It's lacking a <p> and a <center> xD
I know most people probably forget those threads, but I actually do read them almost daily to see what everyone's up to. I was going to see if Mike had posted in there again, and I saw you posted there. So now I have two adventures to look forward to!

I should post my Green journey in the Metal/Color one, but I would spend too much time trying to make it look aesthetically wonderful. lol
Cool. I actually missed a lot of it as a kid (didn't have pay tv so no cartoon network, and it was rarely not on that... and a good amount of the shows I did see as a young kid is different to most other kids here I bet! :V), but I saw it some years ago and felt like it'd be a good thing to switch too. After everyone else left the X&Y theme. :<

Also I suppose so @ melting face comparison.
Great! That will definitely come in handy. :)

I know. It's ridiculous. I wouldn't go telling everyone that, of course. But I know how to properly use quotation marks and such in sentences because of how much I screwed them up when I was younger. Ah. Memories. ...Ew. Memories.
Tomorrow, but I actually did find a way to reword it. Either way, I think that information will still be helpful for future essays. And...I'm not sure why, but showers help get the creative juices in my brain going. I didn't want to write this thing all day until I got in the shower and everything started flowing well in my head. Now I'm actually ready to write this thing!

See, this was a diagnostic essay and I screwed up by having only two paragraphs. Whoops. So while everyone else is just editing their essay, I'm basically rewriting mine almost entirely from scratch. But oh well, I learned my lesson. At least my grammar was spot on with only two errors, easily corrected. Proud of myself in that regard!
You're good at grammar. I know "you" is second person, but does saying "One might not know" or something to that effect count as second person as well? I'm having to revise an essay and I used "you" and there's not a way I can reword this really. lol But the good news is that I have only...I think two or three grammar errors I have to revise. So...all those years of fan fiction helped out after all!
D'aw, thank you. ;o; While I'm sure the piece can be improved, I'm so happy with myself for stepping out of my comfort zone. And I had a lot of fun doing it! Thanks for the support!

Lmfao well if Metapod ever becomes the Pokemon to write about I'll be sure to name it Syd.
There's no way this state is overrated. I'm sure that that's referring to the team. Because...everyone hates us. We're just so badass. Except for that whole losing to Oklahoma ugh.

Unless your state is Florida, California, or New York, chances are, your state is boring. :( Sad story of the US.
I'm not too sure about the thread "advertising" your services as well. I think that it's just one of the risks reviewers face is that the writer might not even like your feedback. I just keep in mind that I would want anyone to give me ways to improve and hope that it applies to everyone else. If the writer isn't out for feedback, why did they post their story online in the first place?

With a little more detail on the thread, I don't like it. I've been to another site where they do have a thread that people can advertise their services of reviewing, but I applied my story for three of them and never heard back. My main concern is that way too many people would sign up their story and then you'd be swamped with all these requests not all of them would get done. Which, could lead to some bitter members.

To wrap up my thoughts, I think you're just going to have to choose a story that catches your eye and go for it. There's no safe way to tell how someone is going to react. Even if you do make the thread and warn them that you're not completely nice with your reviews, people would say they wouldn't mind, but be offended when they actually do read the review. In other words, some writers might want it until they see it. It's just a risk reviewers have to take.
Haha, it's true. That said, I liked the last four books of the Ender Quintette more. When he's actually a real person lol. Lord of the Flies is actually kind of close to my heart, not because of its story, but because in high school I actually drew a line-by-line comic book of it. While working, it eventually grew on me a lot.
