Pt looks better than DP. I bet they took those two years off to make it a polished third version.

Fun fact: HgSs could've been released before Pt (much like FrLg before, and OrAs after them) as by that time they were both about the same level of development.

Interesting you brought up Red and Blue as the original Red and Green were the longest games in development, and yet still needed a delay (they were meant for December) to get out, and yet it had glitches...yeah GF were total noobs during the first gens... in Gen II they didn't know how to add Kanto until Iwata showed them to compress the file (I bet GF could've gotten more added into RG if they knew how to do that back then) in a day... Meanwhile they couldn't bring out the best of the GBA during Gen III, and DP as you just said was messy.

Interesting that you mentioned that, as Nintendo originally planned to keep the GBA alongside the DS, much like how they are currently planning to do the same with the 3DS and Wii u with the NX.

Btw did you hear that they're giving Lance's Dragonite from RB for those who enter a Kanto only competition. It even has the illegal move of Barrier.

Did you not enjoy HgSs either? So far it's only been three. I'll lose hope if they make another remake that is as more boring or as fun as the original pair, but HgSs gives me hope ^_^.
Eusine did appear in HgSs, so perhaps so will Charon and the rest. By an expanded Charon storyline I was thinking of Rotom having a larger in game role.

We could use a Giratina obsessed person...we did see Eusine return from Crystal to play that role for Suicune. and Zinnia was made for Rayquaza's role. So perhaps a Giratina person would appear. Maybe someone inspired by Zero from the movie. The fact that the Delta Episode reminded me of Destiny Deoxys makes me think that a Platinum Episode will take elements from Giratina and the Sky Warrior.

Btw Scott and Lucy might be in OrAs. I mean in the japanese version the guy in black says that he is scouting the battle brains, implying that he is scott. While there's a girl with a Seviper...

Perhaps Giratina could drag the other mascot into the distortion world (like in the anime) leaving the mascot behind, until post game we have to rescue the other one and capture Giratina. At the very least they'll include the Platinum admins like Charon in story, maybe expand more on him or something.

I have a feeling that DP remakes will be more like HgSs than the remakes of the odd gens. I feel like they should at least remake Gen IV before quitting remakes. BW had sequels which would make remaking that Gen's storyline more difficult than the first four. Gen V can simply get another sequel (single though). Or perhaps we'll get remakes in the form of third versions. Pokémon Grey 1 can have a Reshiram-Zekrom fusion, while Grey 2 will have the true original dragon. Would be more interesting than plain old remakes imo.

It already kind of is with FrLg. By the time BW (Gen VIII in this scenario) get remade at the rate we're going OrAs might be in the position that FLg is now, and the one HgSs might be in next Gen...They'll likely release GSC for VC followed by RSE instead of remaking them all so they can continue with their one remake at a time.
Btw do you think GS might get the R(G)BY treatment by 2019? It'll be 20 by then.

I still saw Heartgold and Soulsilver well into Gen VII where I live, kind of surprised me.

And whatever they decide to finish off Gen VI with.

Speaking of hardware there are NX rumors that it'll be made up of multiple devices. The first of which is said to be a handheld. Perhaps we'll get Gen VII there. I kind of hope we get the Sevii islands by then...

It has become stale... they should try something completely different. It didn't help that they made the games easier than past gens either. Mega Evolution is broken during the main journey too as it's restricted to a few players...

You've got a strong observation as always. :) True, the core games and the forum are deeply connected. I say the thing that keeps the forum alive are the forum's friendly atmosphere and the bonds among the members, which I truly appreciate.

Hopefully 'Z version'(placeholder name) is gonna be officially announced soon, we need that boost.

You sure it's Gen III? Try to look for Gen II, see if you can find anything. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I recall it from eother Gen I or Gen II, from Bird Keepers to be exact.

Since there's the mentioned cave from XY, there's a huge chance for the birds and Lugia to have a story in the future.

It means, it's either a Kanto game or a story that involves Eternal Flower Floette.

Yep, while the connection between Lugia and the Winged Mirages felt random on the first glance, since they had no real direct connections in-game until XY's Sea Spirit's Den (a cave that alludes to the mascot of Silver).
Nevertheless, it's actually great imo. Because:
- The three birds received important roles
- Lugia's role as a guardian of the sea has been highlighted well.

As a fan who've begun from Gen I, I'm actually proud to see this series that I love and grew up with expanding! While I'm not satisfied with every new Pokémon, generally I welcome the addition.

I'd like to add on for the Gym Leaders having more roles than staying inside their respective Gyms (This doesn't apply to Giovanni for a very obvious reason).

The problem is most Gen I aren't accepting other than those what they call, 'Original 151'. Some are slightly welcome arms to the Gen II Pokémon, but Gen III and beyond (even the likes of Magmortar and Electivire) are a big nono for them. As if those Pokémon aren't official. Lmao
