Oh lame! hope you do a make up trip soon. Exploring new places is half the fun of living overseas! do you have any trips planned out of SA yet? how much annual leave do you get?

New job is pretty similar to what I was doing back in aus (innovation and strategy) but with more interaction with developers.

I actually do really want to go to Poland! we will probably try and do a weekend there. what's better out of warsaw and krakow in your opinion?

Sounds like there's heaps of cool stuff to do around Cape Town - I am quite bad at checking in on here, so have you managed to see much in the last few weeks?

And how is your place? all set up and nice? What else is news?

Oxford was very boring - the college life etc was fun but it is a grim city, lots of homelessness and its not very clean. I was also commuting horrific hours (sometimes over 4 hours a day) when I would go in to work so I was always exhausted and didn't really have time to see my friends living in London. Basically, drastically reduced quality of life that has improved dramatically now I'm living in London and can see people and go to the gym again haha. [yes I do have a pre-prepared Oxford rant lol]

My job isn't great, but I'm starting a new one (in the same business) in about a week so very keen for that. I went to Ireland, Switzerland and the Amalfi Coast, which was so nice! Going skiing in Jan as well and will try and do some weekend trips before then as need to get value out of Europe being so close!

Yeah, nice! So good that you've got a job and can start to have a life in Cape Town. What is it like there? Will you do much travelling?

I've moved from Oxford to London - London is way better so life is much better now! Parents are visiting for three weeks so travelling around Europe a bit with them.

Well, hello to Cape Town! Was already prepped for your move, adding a clock to show what time it is for your new home. Because I am so exhausted dealing with time zones for my fic!

I'll spend some time this week writing up an update post so we can catch up. I had some (positive!) changes here as well!
