I don't think it's a bad thing, either. I was an elementary/special ed major before and while I don't miss all the dumb education system bits of it, I do miss the opportunity to work with children with ASD or any other kind of disorder, really. I just gravitate to people with differences, I suppose. But yeah, I'll never understand people having this idea that they can "cure" autism. It is a part of what makes a person a person if they have it and it comes out as, "I'm going to work to make you less of yourself!" which isn't right at all.
Thanks for the info, though. I'd hate to go around still thinking this organization was doing any good.
