Happy birthday man, re the tournament, LinearAxel hasn't got back to me regarding a rematch, so idk how you want to rule on that. Sorry about that mate. Hope you've had a good birthday!
Thanks for making your post *hugs* i was starting to cry, that thread was bringing back all my traumatic memories...
I even told a friend how i wanna avoid all forums for a really long time over it...well, a week feels like a long time to me since i'm kinda addicted....
Again, thank you...*hug's* You're a good friend to me. I never meant for my post to lead to so much...sadness...
It looks like we are in a photo war!! Let me post something on your profile to bring you goodluck in your shining hunting endeavors.
Spoiler:
Its all good, some time off has been good for me, so I don't mind. I think a lot of us needed to step back and breathe after this weekend. But I sure am having a lot of fun helping you out with the interview.
Happy Birthday my good friend in advance, the big day is almost here! Any special plans?/:)
If you like illustrations I was wondering if you ever have come across the work of Suza Scalora? She is a photographer who portrays elaborate supernatural scenes of hyperrealistic colors and beauty. She is primarily an artist, but has released children's books and illustrated them with her photographs. Her best book is The Fairies. It was given to me as a present when I was a little girl, and I kept that book for literally 15 years...until recently I loaned it to a friend who lost it 😭 How could you Amy-chan?!
Without Kikyo, you don't have an Inuyasha series. She is the catalyst that sets so much in motion. Onigumo fell in love with her, leading to the creation of Naraku, then she was deceived into turning against Inuyasha, after that she took the sacred jewel to the next world so it would be reincarnated in Kagome, and this is just the prehistory before her second rising. Take her out and the story would fall apart. She is such a necessary character, and I think she is fascinating and beautifully-drawn.
I'm at work on a Pokemon fanfic about an original character who is the daughter of Archie. She realizes the madness of Team Aqua, and betrays her family by stealing the blue orb and taking it to My Pyre, where she is initiatated as a priestess. I confess that Kikyo was my inspiration for having guardian of the red, blue and jade orb.
Take your time, and show me any writing that you deem me worthy of seeing whenever you choose to. I'm very lucky to read the words of a Dragon.
I love reading about romance, so my interest piqued knowing that love is a theme in your story. I can't seem to stop making characters fall in love, even when I don't plan to write about relationships it always seems to come out of nowhere.
Steven Sondheim once said that "The only reason to write is from love." In this case he is talking about the love the author feels, whether love of someone or love of what you do, there has to be some form of joy as your motivation, as I interpreted his words at least.
Seeing the wonderful, wonderful artwork you shared makes me think you perhaps enjoy wood block prints. Does this Tsunetomi catch your eye too?
Spoiler:
Did you say Thai food? You are really making my mouth water now! At least we know that we could always agree on a restaurant to go to. Have you ever had sushi on a conveyer belt? You don't see that presentation as much in the west as in Japan, but nothing turns me more into a munchlax than seeing all sorts of sushi rotating around, pretty much hopping onto my plate! Yum!
I have an amazing vegetarian cookbook that is as thick as a television set, overflowing with recipes. The soups are some of the most creative and diverse dishes. I've learned so much and would love to cook with you. I'm starting to delve more into baking lately. I got an ego boost after making my first gingerbread this weekend, and it was good. I set my sights next on a pecan pie!
I'd be happy to share what I know. I'm sure though that I would be able to also learn from you. We can cook for eachother some day! What is your speciality? Mine is the omelette, I know all sorts of variations on it.
I'm grateful for your kind words! I think everyone here loves you dragon. You are like Sunny the Dragonite I had. You can warm anyone's heart. Audrey Hepburn once said, "For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone." I think you do all of the above.
I really look forward to talking to you too. This is why sometimes I am a little late responding, because getting able to have I think exciting conversation with a kindred soul I can learn so much from is really something to treasure.
Oh yes! When I was 11 my mother made a special little library for me at home, and filled it with beautiful leather-bound books, classics from Moby Dick to Wuthering Heights to Frankenstein. There were lots of fables and fairy tales, Aesop, Brother's Grimm, and I remember the Fairy Books, and love Lang's illustrations. Thank you for this gorgeous image.
I love art, especially the symbolist and pre-raphaelite movement. I also have a fondness for early photography. So glad that you have an appreciation for art and beauty I think.
I'm afraid that I don't have a Nintendo Switch yet, but I am really interested in Let's Go. I think the graphics are enchanting. I still like Kanto and its Pokemon a lot, and I'm also happy to see pokemon following trainers gain. If only Blue was in it, then it would be perfect. This game tugs at my heart stringsn particular because Yellow was the first Pokemon game I played. It was actually my first gameboy game of any kind. It was a gameboy color, the clear kind that you could see the wires and gears through.
Speaking of nostalgic, how is the Johto interview coming along? Have Lance, Clair or Mary been able to guess my favorite Pokemon? I can't wait to hear what they think it is when you reply :P
Kikyo was a very interesting character indeed. She also made a powerful villain in the first season. Her revival at the hands of the witch is still one of my favorite episodes, its chilling. She of course continued to evolve and have other interesting plotlines. I liked meeting her rival Tsubaki the dark priestess, and really liked Kikyo's role in the St. Hakushin plot.
Koga was actually my favorite character for several seasons too.
I'm so late replying, but if you want to send me some of your writing this weekend still I would be happy to look at. But if is too short notice then don't you worry my friend. We will find the perfect day for you!
Being a hopeless romantic once Kama and Pavarti! Are especially important to me. Its funny that you should mention Hindu deities in particulars, because I was just watching a lot of documentary material on Hinduism and the split to Buddhism.
There are some really interesting Chinese and African myths as well. I wrote an art history paper based on a sculpture of the Yoruba god Eshu sophomore year. My favorite Chinese myth might be Benzai Ten.
Sure, no problem at all asking about my favorite foods. I love to cook, its so calming and such as sensory experience. I like a lot of international cuisine, I'm adventurous, I can eat Italian, Greek, Mexican, Indian. My favorite food of all time though is Japanese. If I were stranded on a desert Island and could only eat one thing it would be veggie sushi since I am a vegetarian now . I'm a rare breed of herbaceous dragon :)
Phanpy and Cleffa look awfully cute together. Thank you for filling my profile with delights!
Team Susato is relying on you to pick a starting spot. I did a suggested opening round of moves based on starting spots and had you start at H14 to give everyone around you a Helping Hand. This boost all but ensures at least two, if not three OHKO's. Even if the three designated companions fail to OHKO, I have other allies willing to lend a hand to deal the coup de grace. All in the all, the tentative opening battle plan yields three KO's, possibly four if I get lucky in my endeavor.
Oh heck yeah! What would the mother of dragons be without a noble dragon to show her the way? I'm gonna give you a proper response to your last message soon. I was juggling a few things, but to this request the answer is a resounding YES! Go ahead and sign us up as draconic partners in crime. It sounds fun. We'll circle the globe together, breathe fire and guard treasure :D
