Hahaha, it wasn't THAT bad...well, it depended on what you were using, probably. With a lance my answer to it was just to block every time I was unsure (so 90% of the time) and spend the rest of my time torpedoing into monsters, haha. Lagiacrus was considerably more threatening underwater though. One of those "oh no, water conducts electricity!" anime moments right before he blasts the area you're swimming in. So much so that hunting him again in Gen and GU was a relief because he wasn't even remotely threatening, haha. I wish I'd gotten the chance to really play 3U, but I skipped it and didn't play 4U until after I'd played Gen.
How did you get on in World without Adept/Valor? I thought it was going to be more difficult than GU because of that so I ran IG for the longest time so I could mount things to death...then I discovered evade reloading with LBG and how it's basically adept style if you have a couple of points in Evade Window/Evade Extender, which Nargacuga's armour (which is kind of a staple for gunners tbh because true razor shot is just so much better than the standard the charm will give you) actually gives you anyway, haha. I guess Rise might surprise you - between the aerial bug thing and the World-style combat, there will probably (hopefully) be ways to get around the less technical way of playing. And yus, I'd be happy to give you a hand filling out that guild card sometime (god knows crown farming is painful as hell) although idk how much use I'd be, haha. I'll practice so I don't triple cart immediately, since gunner armour is made of paper. xD

Depending on what we run with for the staff collab I might wanna change to match my flair, and I get...random urges sometimes to represent characters, hahaha. Since I mentioned anime villains I've had Blumenkranz stuck in my head something awful and I really wanna do something with Ragyo. xD
