For me, the WiFi place was blocked off in the first few cities, so I had to use the upper level to trade.

The first I caught was a Bellsprout. That Bellsprout was used to trade for my Growlithe egg I had ready in Platinum. Now I have a cute dog following me :)

It's not to early to say that there might be a remake, just don't expect it to happen anytime soon. Heart Gold and Soul Silver aren't even released in America yet, so another remake is a long way away.

Your story line sounds like, you go outside and "Team Zen" is going to surrender to you and you're going to kidnap them unless they beat you in a battle. And then why does your Journey begin after you battle "Team Zen?" What's the motive? And as Neo-Wolf said, you don't need that many people...
