I doubt any age will be stated. Considering the animation, they seem to be going back to implicit ageing, but he will not be officially stated to age or not.

Well, it's easier to feature this way. Clemont can expand his team more and focus on other Pokémon while Bonnie keeps an eye on the marketable one. And it gives her something to do, too- Max not having a Pokémon at all led him to be kind of ignored in a lot of situations.

Wonderful. Serena seems like an adventurous girl with a clear idea of who she wants to be. Clemont and Bonnie already seem to have a good sibling dynamic. Clemont will be interesting and knowledgeable. Bonnie's obsession with finding him a wife will make for interesting and entertaining times, and I like that she has a Pokémon (even though it's Clemont's in her care).

Looks absolutely gorgeous and fun and strong from the start- hopefully it can keep that strength.

I do agree that Froakie needs to be the fast one of the bunch, every "fast" starter so far was either Fire or Grass so it should be Water's turn. And yeah there's been some list leaked that could show all the Pokemon that can Mega Evolve. I wonder if that will lead to all starters getting Mega Evolutions?
