You're welcome. Writing letters has been fun, and I'll miss doing it after tomorrow. I feel like it's a nice way to improve/brighten someones day.
I had no idea you could do that with fighter kirby. I usually just looked for the strongest attack of an ability, and spammed it mindlessly. My favorite ability might surprise you, but it was actually cutter. Sadly, I found it useless in the arena. The most damage seemed to be from mashing the A button up close, but I generally wanted to keep a distance from bosses. I tried hammer kirby today in the arena. First boss was Dyna Blade, I lost. You can't charge your flame move, so my best guess was "swing wildly"? Plasma was a fantastic ability, and I cleared the arena on my very first try with it. I'd have never known how good it was if you didn't mention it. It was always that ability I ignored. What was your strategy with beam kirby? The damage output is so bad. Also the multicart includes squeak squad and mass attack. So excited to play superstar ultra again. That was a special childhood game, even though I was never a huge kirby fan. There's certain levels I miss, like Revenge of the King and The True Arena. I wonder if the True Arena is as hard as I remember.
Meh, it wouldn't be a huge deal to me if you spoiled something. You've probably heard me mention I like stuff with extremely heavy plots. (like movie games with little actual gameplay). So if I was spoiled on this...it's really just megaman. Sure I like playing blind, but in the end there's nothing that would seriously ruin it for me. I've been spoiled on worse. YouTube likes to recommend spoilers on the homepage, so I'm always hesitant with looking up a walkthrough or music. Next thing I know, youtube shoves a character death onto my recommended feed. It's one of the worst places for spoilers.
Um, trying to remember. On the top of my head the DLC fighters are Piranha Plant, Hero (dragon quest), Terry, Joker, Banjo, Sephiroth, Byleth, Steve...and min min from arms, who I had to look up. There's 3 more planned. I've bought all of them, usually using the gold points you get for spending as discounts for the next character. Despite buying all of them, the only one I play is the Dragon Quest 11 protagonist. (different skins turns him into the other protagonists). Since you have the japenese version, are you able to understand it? I took a french class in high-school, but was never serious about it. I guess there isn't much of a reason to be on my phone at the moment. I always took it with me when I was commuting to my school (but all my stuff is online right now). Social media feels easier to moderate my usage when I just keep it to my laptop. Otherwise I'm constantly checking for notifications...which really doesn't feel healthy. (and double that with having an anxiety disorder, you can probably understand why I'm happy right now just not being on the phone at all). Even when it comes to calling my doctor for a medication refill...I literally just ask my mother if I can borrow her phone. Yeah but the Mario Platformers have always been a weird issue. I want to love them, they look so much fun, but I can't pinpoint why they feel like such a chore. I really like Super Mario Bros 3 for NES, and I did the entire thing in a single 7 hour sitting. I'm enjoying Mega Man...so I can't figure out why I turn on mario and get bored.
Yeah I remember a girl in my government class saying something like that. She stood up and said "I bet there's lots of people in here who like anime, but feel ashamed to admit it". always found what she said interesting. I've never talked about my interests much either. Just feel nervous for criticism, but at the same time I had a passing thought. If someone criticizes you for your own interests...doesn't it somewhat show insecurity on that persons end? A common reason to 'put someone down' is to elevate ones own ego.
Filler doesn't have to be 'filler' in the sense of pointlessness. Filler can be used to develop character, or provide an interesting side plot. Pokemon is not good filler. I can't ever understand wanting to watch team rocket do the same thing 100+ times in a row. But I sure don't want to 'miss' that one great moment. I feel like if I skip, in a sense it's cheating. I'm missing the full experience. It's like skipping a section you find tedious in a video game. Sure that part is tedious, but it makes the "good" parts even more special. But when the filler is so repetitive and not fun, I suddenly don't want to watch the rest of the show.
I don't remember if you mentioned playing Mario Party 6, but there's a board called "faire square" which almost everything on that board is an event. So if your playing 50 turns, get ready for a potentially 5 hour game. (I've done it twice, and it's so fatiguing).
As a random mention, so glad to see the accent thread gain so much traction. I never actually had the courage to do it until last night. Similar to what you've mentioned, I have my own voice insecurities. My voice has always been naturally raspy and I would love so much to just be able to talk more smoothly.
