We have an Alexa AI in our house. Basically it's an amazon communication device that can converse with you, play music, make shopping lists, set reminders, etc. Took some getting use to, and for some reason I was being over imaginative, and kept thinking "What if this just started talking in the middle of the night"? (Because there's stories of it doing stuff like that). Then I realized...meh it's just an A.I, whatever. I'll eventually start playing a lot more, but puzzles tend to wear me out, which is why I've been playing in chunks. I also ordered a multicart (A DS cart which has 250 games preloaded).
I finished the arena with Plasma. You were right about it tiring out your thumbs. No idea how you did it with fighter. Seems you have to get super close range, and that just doesn't work for me. I couldn't even beat 1 boss with fighter. You said you did it with everyone? (Sorry if i'm not remembering correctly). Because I have no idea how you would pull it off with stuff like wheelie and jet. Also I forgot about the waddle dee boss. I thought that was just a superstar ultra thing (because of revenge of the king). But nope, it was in this too. Also Superstar Ultra is on the multicart, can't wait to play it again.
No it's okay, you didn't spoil it. I only watched the part I was stuck on. When it got into the blind section of the level, I turned it off to avoid spoilers. So nope, nothing to feel bad about.
$60 doesn't sound too bad. I'll admit, I purchase every single DLC character that comes out on Smash Ultimate. Usually they run at about $5 each and there's been quite a lot. (Especially when they added the Dragon Quest 11 protagonist as a DLC character, such a happy day). And I get wanting to spend money for support. Again, not something I typically do, but I'm considering throwing a dollar towards a podcast I've listened to for a few years. Also considered throwing a dollar towards pokecommunity. Is it the only idol game you play, or are there multiple? Mobile games sound like such a good way to stay occupied. Crazy to think I haven't touched my phone in like a month. At first it was just charging issues...but now I'm happy that I'm not constantly looking at social media, checking for notifications, etc. Did you ever get back to the side quests on xenoblade? I think you mentioned getting tired of them. I actually started playing Super Mario Bros Deluxe for Switch. I...don't actually enjoy these games. No idea why, but i'm iffy towards most of the 2D mario platformers. Like, I'm just not enjoying them as much as I should.
I wonder if it's weird to say, but maybe it's a more common interest online? Maybe like character you described, people feel more comfortable opening about it online. (Like how she was comfortable opening up in front of her friend group). But yeah I'll check out Attack on Titans. Maybe it could really pull me into something I greatly enjoy. I know people compile filler lists for shows, and that includes pokemon. But I don't like doing that. If I'm going to watch a show I'd rather see everything. I guess pokemon could be compared to a comfort food. If you want to de-stress with something familiar, you know what your getting.
What's going on with Kongregate is the most bizarre thing. Basically with Flash dying, you would think they would be doing everything else to keep fans happy, right? Nope. When flash died, they ripped out all the social features on the website. So the chatrooms are gone, and 95% of the forums are gone. (Just the technical support stuff stayed, mostly). It feels like a self sabotage. Like whoever owns the website just doesn't want it anymore. They also blocked new games from being uploaded.
Oh. uh your actually the first person who's ever called me out on this. Basically I dropped it vaguely on purpose, setting it up so you would ask "Why do you think that"?. It's just a random way to gauge if the conversation is still interesting. If you don't respond with "Why"? I just assume it's not an interesting topic. Sorry. I've been doing it for years, if you find it a bit annoying I won't do it anymore.
But to answer the question, I still prefer Mario Party at balanced pace. Meaning I don't want "Ultra Speed" mario party. Like, I still want to see what everybody is doing. However, I don't want "sluggish" either. I already think the N64 games have a nice middle ground. If you play the Gamecube and Wii games after the N64 games, you might notice the pace did slow pretty heavily. Might also be because more events are placed around the boards, hence making turns take longer.
