Good map awareness is key on Twitch. The second you see a gank incoming, stealth. Alistar's combo can be difficult, but I can land it about 85%-90% of the time. It takes a few levels for Alistar to become a sustain lane, but if I have to do it, I get a chalice. Sometimes that's not enough of my ADC keeps diving in even though the enemy has already established lane dominance. I think Alistar is at a bad spot in the meta since ranged supports are popular, and without his ultimate he can be quite frail, but no one else provides the sustain and CC that he can, so he's always my first pick. I actually didn't have to go back that often when playing Cho'gath. I was playing with my brother, and I wanted to match his champion to be the void lane, so yeah. I almost always get him fed since we do have a lot of synergy with our play styles, and it worked out really well. I like Cho too, but as a top laner. I haven't tried him mid, but I just imagine the lack of mobility getting to be a real issue when up against champs like Ahri, Zed, Syndra, etc.
