Okay. :) Haven't met them yet, I'm still in Chapter 2, in that area where carnivore plants decide to summon a terribly amount of sidekicks, so that four plants end up as six healers or something. I'm still not used to the controls though, "talk", "door" and "search" could easily fit under one command.

Nope, I didn't really grew up with computers and my parents thought any game console other than a pc was a waste of money, so I never got one. Most games I play are still old GBA titles, they may be old, but they're new to me, so nothing that doesn't prevent me enjoying them.

Those Psyduck are weird too. Cynthia gives you that powder to make them walk away, but as you use it there, she shows up herself. Why couldn't she simply have done it herself instead of using a ten year old kid to carry it? :P

Mysterious? I agree with that. If Grimsley ever appears in future games he should have a Greninja as his Ace. He wears a scarf and the pointed bits of his hair match Greninja's head shape somewhat. Bisharp is a solid Pokemon but Greninja would fit him better. :)

Sidney is a cool character and since he has two Grass/Dark on his team I have little option but to ship him with Gardenia.

The PWT was a lot of fun...and a nice nostalgia trip. It is good being able to fight Gym Leaders at full power. It's a shame Giovanni is still really easy though.

It was doubly annoying as there were so few Fire and Water types in the first Black and White particularly Fire. Basculin being present in all water wasn't good either and why oh why does it not evolve?

I can see there being an evil Fairy Type somewhere down the line. Dark (Along with Poison) is considered an 'evil' type because the villain teams use them but Dark specialists (Karen, Sidney, Grimsley) don't come across as evil. In fact the only Elite Four Member who is openly antagonistic in the games is Fire User Malva...this is barely touched on until she just says she hates you.

B2W2 had a great post-game with the PWT, second area, Black Tower/White Treehollow and host of Legendaries to catch but a battle facility really would have pleased competitive players...the battle subway was underwhelming.

Ah yes Scald. That's a good move and reminds me of the water elemental monkey spamming it. Gen 5 had some great Pokemon designs but why Game Freak practically forced you to use the Monkeys in B/W is a strange one. The evolved forms all look pretty bad but at least the first stages are cute.

Shiny Staryu looks really good, if they followed the same colour scheme for Shiny Starmie (White outer, gold ring, sky blue jewel) it would look great I reckon. :)

One of the things I love about Gen 6 is how things that were tricky or needed insane luck are now a little easier. Breeding is easier, EV training is easier, want to catch a few Shinys? Here go Chain Fishing, although I am told friend Safari is even easier but I have had no luck there.

Slowbro can really wall you with Amnesia and Recovery if you don't knock it out quick enough...I remember Misty's Slowbro did just that in the PWT.

Awesome! Mapping was the first I learned to do. Scripting is a bit harder, but it's amazing what you can do once you get the hang of it. Also since you're hacking Emerald, I recommend using #freespace 0xFF after your dynamic offset directive to prevent overwriting any critical bytes and causing sound corruption. (Assuming that you're using XSE)

Hydreigon was a pain to deal with in Gen 5, now all you need is Dazzling Gleam. It's a shame a fan favourite got hit so hard but as we said before Dragon needed a nerf.

As Feebas is a 100% catch in a part of ORAS, I would be silly to not chain for one. :) It's a shame that my favourite Water Pokemon (Starmie) has a horrible shiny. :(

That reminds me I need to get my Shiny Kadabra evolved at some point. A Shiny form of Sabrina's Signature Pokémon would be nice. :)

Maybe I will use the Slowpoke line just to see if he is any good...I have always preferred Slowbro to Slowking however.

FF games are a real timesink. Not really one of those games you can dip in and out of.

Well, a lot of Pokémon got new life this Gen like Azumarill, Clefable and Mawile. Some got hurt too though so encouraging people to start again makes sense considering EV training is now a lot easier. :)

I have just beaten Skyla and all her saluting Pilot Gym Trainers. My progress has been stopped somewhat by real life and Shiny Water Hunting. I plan to continue tonight once I have fished up a Shiny Feebas. :)

A lot of Water Shinies seem to be Purple/Magenta. Some like Kingdra the Royal Purple fits whilst I am not a fan of Purple Lapras. Blue and Pink suits the quirky Politoed...I found out yesterday Misty has a Politoed in the anime. :) I have to admit I really like Shiny Green Poliwrath though, it reminds me so much of a frog. :)

Yeah, plenty of them focus on updating to Gen 6 mechanics, so it's great! ASM is too advanced for me because I have very little knowledge in programming. It would be cool to make your own routines if you could though :o By the way, what part of ROM hacking are you learning currently?
