@DCS: It's nothing strange, it's just the same old teleport glitch that has haunted me since B2. Just that, instead of going to R4, it goes to Blackthorn (can you guess which place I have used to make Blackthorn? :P)
@joao: In the game, the story is already at the end, after battling Red. So what I'm doing now (as the story doesnt have that much since the last Beta) is adding some side-stuff, mainly to distract the player a bit and get some extra playing time.
@brittain: Technically, they are pirated versions of a rom hack. The definition is up to whatever you want to call them. The important thing is to avoid them because everyone can play them for free, and that's the main idea behind rom hacking, we are just fans, we dont need money (at least, I currently dont need it, in fact, I'm thinking on getting a DS :P)
@Macaveli: Flags are not hard to understand, it's just a switch, if it is on, it does something, if not, it does something else... Example:
@org 0xBBBBBB
checkflag 0x8888
if 0x1 jump 0xCCCCCC
call 0xDDDDDD
end
#org 0xCCCCCC
something after flag is on
#org 0xDDDDDD
something before flag is on
And then another event should be setting on the flag, let's say...
#org 0xEEEEEE
something, something
setflag 0x8888
As long as you dont execute the event that uses the setflag, the flag 0x8888's value is 0 (so if 0x1 fails and avoids the jump), if you did the event, the flag will be 1 (and if 0x1 executes the jump)
Simple. Variables are a bit more complex than flags. They always were, on any language.
@YankeeX: As long as it's not the stuff I just inserted on B5, you can use what you want from the earlier Betas.
